"In the late 80s/early 90s Korg released a synthesizer called the M1," Tom Shorterz begins. "Within its preset functions is a pretty infamous bass patch called ‘Organ 2’. This distinct sound was what I searched high and low for, in record shops up and down the country when I first stated DJing. I used to collect this style frantically, some of it was very hard to find back in the day before the internet created a shopping mega boom." 

"Some of these sounds dominated the 90s club scene from underground New York clubs all the way to the UK via some of the guiltiest of all European guilty pleasures. So here’s a mixtape which does exactly what it says on the tin: A Tribute To The Korg M1."
