Like george bush; highly invasive
will take command of your house
but in a way thats creative
erecting new fences and making it gated
so he can live inside
and get very wide
eating all the food you have so kindly supplied
to him as part of his deal
futile to appeal
to his better nature
or even his pet creature
a young macaw
with a beautiful waist coat
woven silk
and who speaks a tongue of Carribbean ilk
so he sits inside
eats all your pies
and chats to his bird
which will occasionally take to the sky
and frighten off any thieving magpie
cheeky enough to go for the gold
which soon becomes boring & old
and with that the bird is told
‘lets take our leave’
and so they exit
the house all wasted
without even packing their cases
such is life on the road
