I got the call up from the legend @staywise-1 to close out the front room at Revolver Upstairs for her recent event 'Shadows'. Playing 6am-7am coming in from Techno and playing fast and hard into the last half of my set where i was able to play some epic closing tracks i've wanted to for a very long time. Thanks to the Dancing punters who were there till they turned the lights on! and Thanks so much Steph and @revolverupstairs for the opportunity to play a beautiful and memorable closing set in such an amazing club. Whilst Bongani is a busy bee behind the scenes and in the studio, we can also confidently say - the man can mix. Bouncing from big stage booths at Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Subsonic and Esoteric, back to the Recovery Collective management office, with some of the sweatiest club slots in between, Bongani has more than dipped his toes in the ever evolving Australian progressive techno scene... You could say he's done a full swan dive.

This week in the mix for SixthSense Australia, Bongani presents a full slog of progressive techno and heaving minimal techno with a dark, tasty, tribal edge. His recent releases on Carbon & Lampè's Alula Tunes, Techgnosis Records and Recovery Collective influence the direction, giving this mix a very personal touch.

Coinciding with the SixthSense Australia premiere of Bongani's "Memories of a Dream" on Alula Tunes and our imminent interview, SSA takes a slice of the final month of this interesting year to shine a spotlight on this promising Melbourne local.
