Originally released in 1993, Two Full Moons & A Trout was one of the seminal releases on Platipus Records.

It was picked up by Rising High in 1994 featuring the epic remix by Caspar Pound and mix by Friends Lovers & Family.

Platipus delivered 2 further remixes in 2006 by Luke Chable, Chab and Tetonik^.

Now 7 years later and 20 years after the original release, we thought it's time for a fresh take on this legendary release.

This time round from with mixes from Belgium's Airwave, Israel's Freedom Fighters & Domestic and USA's Terra Ferma, each bringing their own take within today's sound along with the Original 14" Mix.

Still on a roll, Art Of Trance producer Simon Berry unleashes his second production this year, this time going it alone.

Vocodered vocals float over a deep chugging tribal undercurrent. Heavily verbed hypnotic square-waves blast out unreservedly and syncopated flanged ricocheting percussion collide into the ether.

Kaukuta’s Terra Ferma Remix retains the pumping throbbing underbelly of the original whilst elevating matters skyward by unleashing vicious acidic barking 303’s.

After completing 13 remixes in the past few years Terra Ferma is now concentrating on finishing a new EP of original music to be released this year as well as working on two new separate collaborations with artists ‘Red.Tree' and ‘Kevens'.

Neuro-percussion floods the frontal lobes. Pulsing low frequency oscillations bounce from a backdrop of adrenal drones and involuntary pulses from the twitching Oberheim.  Outer-body chords float above the hospital bed. The choice is yours.

Now close the door. turn off the lights, and spark up the Beta Blocker Mix.  Syncopated neuro-percussion sweep the primary cortex. Dopamine tunnels channel the drones and the Oberheim delivers further involuntary muscle convulsions. Flickering outer-body chords float above the hospital bed once more. See the light.

Gibbon: Tropical soundscapes provide a backdrop for this 3-time bass groover. Hand-woven psy-elements include Oscar harmonics laced with frog chorus and monkey juice.

Mote-Evolver’s ever successful Parallel Series is now on to its fourth installment, this time with two West Coast producers - Developer and Truncate - going head to head. Pairing of the two is uncanny in many ways given their close friendship and the geographical base they share, and appears to be the perfect choice to highlight the difference between their sound and style to realize the concept of Parallel Series: contrast & compliment.   

The EP opens with “Drive Themes” by Developer, a producer who’s known for the deeply dramatic groove charged with masculine energy.  With its focused and streamlined forward-moving force, “Drive Themes” is a track of relentless agility.  “Random Attraction” maintains the same tempo but adds enticing elements of distorted shouts of melody on top of the ruthless yet smooth layers of chords and hats, all beautifully harmonized to perfection.  Developer’s contribution makes the darker and moodier side of EP and its stirring emotion serves as a nice counterpart to its slightly more lighthearted flip side.  

Fellow LA-based producer Truncate steps out of his usual sound of rock-solid and thumping techno with “Is It Skinny”, a spaced-out hypnotic track that contains a vocal sample that’s so demure and unexpected that it melts into the swirling bleeps of melodies, and you wouldn’t even notice if it wasn’t the title that gives out.  “Forty Four” is yet another track that’s born for the floor, inducing aural pleasure with its funky rolling bass dancing with congo-like drums and claps.
