Even though Nils Penner, also known as one half of Penner + Muder, is not a new name in this business this is his first release on Exploited and guess what? It couldn’t be a better fit.
Penner, originally from Bremen, brings his unique sound which comprises a flawless and balanced mix of deep house, heavy grooves and well thought-out basslines. After releasing on labels such as Freerange, Suol and Compost Black Label, Penner succeeds to amaze again.

The two tracks on this new single are each other’s perfect supplement. They both breath out the light-heartedness that is an ideal fit for the beginning of Spring.
While „Bubbles” will put a smile on everyone’s faces with its feel-good rhythms, „The Thing” is an undeniable clubtrack with a nice old-school vocal that will get you and the ones around you dancing.

Mat.Joe sure had an impressive breakthrough ride last year including worldwide recognition, endless touring schedule and an impressive catalogue of tracks and remixes including acclaimed eps in OFF which quickly scouted them as core artists. 2014 started as busy as expected for the Berlin duo, with tracks and remixes in Suara, Stil Von Talent and our own 5 year talent compilation. Hot as they are, we thought this was a good time for another EP, and they delivered an impressive pair of floor movers with their usual versatility and good taste.
"Way Too Bad" shows their sampling skills with a rolling groove full of soul that swirls nicely over funky drums and a killer bassline. 

On the b side, "Brighton Beach" shows a deeper, thoughtful escapade, with synth keys and arpeggios slilding into a big boom bass creating an uplifting vibe for a very special time in the night. 

Both tracks capture the essence of Mat.Joe while being perfect tools for different moments and feelings. Another true gem from the OFF camp!

Dino Lenny wrote the original record thinking about a couple he once met in New York. This couple was rather particular as the man, who was in his mid forties, loved shiny vinyl shoes, Soul Black Music and women. His wife knew all of this but just kept on hoping he would have eyes just for her at some point. She lived day by day, worked at a local cafe and waited for something magic to happen.
Luckily they had something very poetic in common: their favourite record.
When this same record appeared to be the key in the magic moment the wife had been waiting for, a beautiful story awaited the two. They lived the rest of their days just as if they jumped out of their favourite song.

With this beautiful and original back-story, Exploited is proud to present 2 new remixes. Sander Kleinenberg’s reshuffle we just couldn’t resist to release. So we will spare you the words and suggest you just have a listen.

Joshi Mami’s take on the track is just a bit deeper without losing the poetic background and vocals. Even though the original story takes place in New York this remix brings you to a fast car drive on the Miami highway at night.

It has been more than a whopping five years now since Stee Downes released his last album (“All In A Day”, SK203CD) . But the Dublin born, Amsterdam based jack of all trades has been simply too busy with numerous other successful projects and his renowned DJ gigs to take the time to record its follow-up “The Bigger Picture” in Berlin's Jazzanova Recording Studio. This longplayer is set to be released in 2014 / 2015.

Now, for starters, we are treated with the pre-12inch “Caught Up”. It's almost take for granted by now that Sonar Kollektiv A&R-manager Alex Barck and Paskal & Urban Absolutes, the label's unofficial in-house remix duo, have looked after the track. And that's how we actually get two times uplifting vocal house that works as well in the club as on the airwaves.
Further on, the currently massively uprising siblings Kyodai take no prisoners and go for a thriving club burner and give the arrangement a fantastic sweeping beat and pump the bassline all up to the front.

All the way, from Australia comes the contribution by Rocco Raimundo, who prowls audibly in calmer climes. This way “Caught Up” wins even more points and could molt to become – in form of this remix – a proper summer smash.

On the digital release you'll find on top of Raimundo's remix also the instrumental version of the original. You won't regret to give it a try: Next to the ultra funky bass by Alex Grube, the guitar by Arne Jansen, the drumming by Michael Grabinger and particularly the piano and rhodes, played by none other than Sebastian Studnitzky, put you in an outrageous good mood.
That's then how the summer 2014 sounds!

I haven’t posted a recording of my djing for quite some time now, I feel this is a moment I can and want to share.

This 5 hour closing set has been something special for me.

Walking into de school not knowing what was about to happen, only thinking that I would see this as my musical homage to being a resident to this amazing place, a space where I was going to play one of my most memorable sets to this day. What started as 3 hours planned of a closing ended up in 5 hours of pure bliss. 
The responses on that moment have changed a lot for me. It made me rethink why I dj, why I make music and why I love doing this thing I do so much. 

These 5 hours are filled with: unknown hits to big dance bangers, music for happiness, loneliness, loving, hating, remembering, forgetting, friendship and everything in between.

Alejandro Gamba is the mastermind behind the Cosmosolar project. The veteran Argentinian producer, whose first endeavours in the underground electronic music realm commenced more than twenty years ago, successfully manages to bring together the many influences he has amassed during such a spell in order to deliver his vision of dance-floor-oriented underground electronic music. EBM, New Wave, Post-Punk, Techno, Trance, and House come together and give birth to an interesting concoction issued on vital Indie Dance/Dark Disco platforms such as Phisica, Logia, Maleante, NEIN, Discos Prohibidos, Modula, and Espacio Cielo, just to name a few. He is now back on the latter with the “Immaginazione” EP featuring two fresh originals and their respective reinterpretations made with love by master Parissior (SXDNS206) and promising Size M.

With a discography still in the dawn of its trajectory, Size M debuts on the Spanish powerhouse with an intelligent take on “Misterio En La Disco”. Aiming the peak time, he managed to keep most of the main elements of the solid original in his rework, including the frolic gait, and paved the way to the injection of more stamina by spicing things up with the increase of the BPM from 120 to 125. The addition of extra arpeggios, synth layers, and speech-like vocals resulted in a proper showcase of his capabilities and inventiveness. Let’s keep an eye on the lad, shall we?
