Hiknos - Resolution

Fun projects need to be shared. In this case I like to give away my newest fun project - I did in my free time. Hashtag is a combination of five elements in one track. With the focus on a snare drum roll, a upward pitching part, a melody, a fat baseline and acid elements. Acid in that case means, crazy sounds in a groovy beat. Hope you like it - have fun.

'Clear' is a moody and brooding, cool deep techster. Its subtle layers evolve as the metallic melodics develop, creating a serious workout, that straddles several musical genres. Just the way we like it.

On remix duties, Deepfunk takes control. Completely changing the vibe, with its magical warm layers, this remix is a smile inducing epic, sure to bring a smile to your face.

The second original is 'Bright'. A darker and chunky affair. Low end powers through the crisp beats, before the twittery blippy melodies land, which elevate the track, creating an unexpected stomper.

And to round things off, its Stephen J. Kroos remix, who keeps the tough edge of the original, but develops its musical capabilities with reverbs and delays creating a tension, while detuned effects give it a warped edge. A solid rework!

Aftertech Records Eighth Release

'Staring Contest' is the eighth release and the first single of Aftertech Records. This single took form after a very exciting remix contest. Frezel outdid himself on his track Staring Contest where he managed to combine his well known melodies with a very catchy groove. This track is shown in five different interpretations one original mix and four remixes. Audiomolekül, Franc Tejedor, KRNT and Triateck give you a peak into their soul with their own unique sounds.

The first track, the original mix of 'Staring Contest' rises up slowly, leading you towards a catchy bassline and dreamy plucks with a matching brass. Halfway he makes the bassline scream, giving the track not only more groove but bringing power to a maximum. A track which will make many dance for sure.

The second track  and first remix of this single is done by a newcomer on the label: Audiomolekül, introducing himself with a heavy kick combined with a smart percussion. Although his kick is heavy he manages to balance it with a more dreamy vibe via wobbing synths and a lovely piano.

The second remix is made by Triateck, with this track he proves his talent once again. He turned the catchy groove of the original mix around and gave it a melancholic feel. Supported by a strong bassline and a beautiful lead sound, there is nothing more to do than close your eyes and enjoy this wonderful story telling track.

The next remix is produced by Franco Tejedor, from the first moment on he grabs the attention with a mesmerizing percussion which never lets you go. Followed by a building arpeggio he gets you right where he wants you. Introducing his own interpretation of Frezel's melody, making you float on the river of your own mind. A great addition to this single.

KRNT finishes this single with a remix remaining true to the original yet making it harder and stronger. He managed to create a very leading climax which makes the impact of his powerful bassline oh so strong. The perfect track to finish this single with.

A very interesting single, giving you five great unique tracks, each massive in their own way.

We are proud to present you our 23th release. For this release we have Ran Salman & Shlomi Biton delivering this amazing track. This release also includes a remix of Kris Davis.

Ran Salman's music contains deep and fat bass lines, together with elements from disco, funk, classic house and vocals while combining a fresh sound with his own personal style. Shlomi Biton is known for his Nu Disco releases and is launching his new alias with this release. For this track they joined forces and made a warm, bass driven track with great sounding synths and a warm atmosphere all over the track. This track is perfect for peak time moments but also fits perfectly in the after hour.

On remix duty we have the amazingly talented Kris Davis. This fast rising producer gives his own interpretation to the original. And we think he does it in a unique style that shows why he is one of the guys to keep an eye on.

The 39th release on microCastle welcomes Andre Sobota back to the label for his third EP in the last four years. The Brazilian producer has continued to impress since his hugely successful 'Surrounded By Time' EP from the summer of 2012. Andre's unique melodic sound has been enchanting electronic music fans ever since and he continues to be a favourite of Above and Beyond, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Eric Prydz and Pete Tong. Andre's new EP for microCastle is entitled 'Triangles' and includes 3 brand new original productions alongside remixes from: Robert Babicz, Microtrauma and James Teej.

The EP begins with the title cut 'Triangles' which would have to be one of Andre's standout melodic compositions to date. Led by some of this year's most sun drenched harmonies along with a dynamic groove and ethereal sonics it's sure to be a standout for the summer season. The lone remix of 'Triangles' is provided by Robert Babicz who is making his first appearance on microCastle. The Polish born Germany based producer has been one of the most influential artists over the course of his long and storied career in electronic music. Robert’s discography is full of impeccably produced classics like ‘Dark Flower’ and ‘Remote Kiss’ along with many others which all stand the test of time remarkable well. He’s updated some of electronic music’s most revered classic’s like Hardfloor ‘Acperience 1′ and Cybordelics ‘Adventures of Dama’ which both appeared on Harthouse over 20 years ago. More recently Robert has several stellar productions released courtesy of John Digweed's Bedrock records and his own Babiczstyle imprint. For his 'Triangles' interpretation Robert has transformed Andre's smooth and serene original into a funky, tech house bomb. The main motifs have been conveyed in a more subversive way and the end result is a groovy melodic cut that's perfect for your summer dance floors.

The second original 'Morning Lust' sees Andre with another unique progressive techno production. Irresistible hooks, a grinding groove and haunting motifs all wrapped in a lo-fi approach make for another standout melodic production. The lone interpretation of 'Morning Lust' is provided by Microtrauma who are returning to microCastle for their second appearance. The German duo who are renowned for their detailed sound first appeared on the Canadian behemoth in April of 2012 with a remix of Cid Inc & Lank's 'Emotional Self'. Subsequent appearances on Herzblut Recordings, Sudbeat and Traum have highlighted the duos discography in recent years and they've turned in a cutting edge interpretation of 'Morning Lust' here. Microtrauma has stripped the track down into a lean and exhilarating melodic techno construction. The duos fluid energy is renowned and once again on point here with waves of sonic details firing through the mix. A chain of feedback thematics during the main break proves to be a highlight and gives the track an even more distinct sonic aesthetic.

@henry-saiz & Band return for another round bringing you further adventure into the world of their recently released audiovisual album project ´Human´ tickling some heartstrings again.
The title track of the album, which is an incredibly pure, raw song focused on textures and sensation, mixing acoustic and electronic elements, turned out to be the guys´ probably most personal oeuvre yet. Trying to recreate the lights and shadows of the African savanna, original song also aims to show the listener the chaos of a place brimming with life and drama, and the beauty so astounding that it shakes our conception of what it means to be human. And it does.
´Human´ then gets a beautiful makeover from Permanent Vacation's @benjamin-fr-hlich-permvac who couldn´t help himself and delivered two equally stunning versions - passionate, precise, powerful and entirely committed to the original´s aesthetic. Overall they are rousing overtures backed up with concrete drums, hypnotic beat tools, trippy chants and emotional atmospherics. Bursting with melody, soul and emotional weight, each of them is gradually unveiling an utterly enthralling musical story. 
Finishes up the package a Romanian producer @liarinth who delivers a spacey and swirling remix that´s an epic fusion of nostalgic synthwork with its distorted lo-fi synthlines, spellbinding sound design, chanting vocal chops, distant pads and ravey breakbeat. With producer´s signature emotional poignancy that´s instilling a mind high, his remix is a musical soundscape that´s subtly enchanting and completely gripping.
´If there is a place that shows how the environment determines our perception of reality, that place is Africa´, - the guys say, and this package surely helps you further down that line.
