When I sent @Rosindust a very first demo, the piece still didn't have a name. She asked me on WhatsApp "Ok, how do you want me to play it?" and I replied "Nervous, furious like... like.. Wait!" and I sent her a picture of Medusa from the famous painting by Caravaggio. :)
Actually this piece is a kind of playful revenge: her last piece she asked me to play had guitar parts that were difficult for me and when I recorded them I swore revenge to her with a fiendishly complicated piece for 2 violins :) But, as always, she was so brilliant! Process notes: I used a probability gate (Count Modula's Chances module)to block 75% of clocks to the voices, on average over time. I took it as ok to let reverb tails count as silence. The resulting clip was brought into Reaper where I used a limiter on the master channel.

Violoncello Solo, here followed by my own arrangement for Bassoon solo.

I grew up in Southern Hesse and began composing in Darmstadt, just before my father was diagnosed with a giant glioblastoma, shortly before Christmas in 1989. Surgery and radiotherapy, but again a giant tumor then. His passing at the age of 48, nine months later, shortly before my 19th birthday, came at a time when I was preparing for my Abitur in Music and Biology. I wrote this piece, which I formerly titled "Phantasy", when there was a little hope for healing. He was able to hear me playing the piece and died at home 4 months later, on 28th August 1990.
