You Are The Light

These improvisations are influenced by the landscape near the river Eem. This empty landscape has everything to do with swamps reclaimed in the Middle Ages, the expansion of the Zuiderzee and the many floods that occurred here until 1932. At high tide, the water flowed over the dikes and sometimes they broke. The inflowing water then sanded a vortex hole, which is called a "waai". These ‘waaien' are now small lakes behind the dikes. It is an old and empty landscape where the light bounces off their surface and clouds moving over slowly.

Noly and I collaborated on a track some months ago called The Salt Room.  You can find it under tracks on this page and at Noly Williams here on Soundcloud.  Based on how enjoyable that collaboration was, I sent the basic tracks for this song to Noly (after many delays on my part) and once again she has performed her magic, making something transcendent from a humble origin.

this fourth part of the playlist partially takes up the theme of the first track (which I would like to re-record as soon as possible) with the addition of several recordings over time starting from October 2021. 
some internal parts belong to independent projects and merged into this song.  The vocal is a voice message sent to me by the precious friend Ugo Pisco Lùmaja and has been treated with elektron octatrack mkII.  
the same sample has repeatedly used for the developing of other projects including: Last night dream pt.I 
I spent several days working out on the structure and trying to adjust the volumes to get an acceptable mix.
