Scuba continues his Phenix series with a second installment entirely devoid of the euphoric hallmarks of the Personality era but missing none of the familiar attitude. No trace of vocals, feel-good chords or retro kicks, no real concern for the hour or room, Phenix 2 is instead teeming with mood and spirit.

From the underwater tones of opener, ‘Aphids’, through the hedonist techno grit of ‘Choke’ and ‘Solitary Confinement’, to the free indirect dissonance that is ‘Distance’, on Phenix 2 we see Scuba at his most impenitent. Cocksure improvisation, heads-down escapism and ardor in restraint are all at play on a record that manages to sound distinct from what came before it, yet all the while one which bears an unmistakable signature.

Following their ongoing relationship with Soma Records, Ukrainian duo Woo York are set to release their new record that proves to be somewhat representative of recent dramatic events in their country. Entitled I Am Against, both the main track and the EP itself are referring to the developments that lead to revolutionary struggle of the Ukrainian people. Fighting inequality, saying what you have to say and doing what you have to do seem to be the core ideas of the record. You might have figured that out yourself by spotting a rebel protester from January’s clash with riot police depicted on the record sleeve. The EP also features a special remix from UK Techno producer, Ø [Phase].

Music-wise the EP presents the same idea: the epic energy of the title track highlights the drive that was fuelling peaceful individuals to go out onto the streets and fight for their rights. An excellent remix from Ø [Phase] follows a similar path, although in its own original way that has made the UK-based artist’s name associated with the finest techno to date.  Closing the EP ‘In The End’ is a more abstract side of Woo York’s music works that reminds us once again: every single act of violence is bound to come to an end at some point.

Hagva began in 2022 as a shared experiment between CP1 and Not Mass, artists closely tied to Milan’s Evolvere collective and Stagno Records. What started as a dialogue has grown into a practice of dismantling rhythm and building it back stronger, threading techno through post-club ruptures, industrial grit, and deep ambient undertones. From Evolvere’s underground nights in Milan to RSO Berlin, Module CPH, Buka Milano, Tempovìa, and Zurich’s D.A.S., their sets have carried the same uncompromising edge: a refusal to settle into comfort, constantly pulling dancers into new terrain.

The mix we present today is a three-hour live recording from their set at D.A.S. in Zürich earlier this year, capturing Hagva in full flight. There’s no easing in, it’s a straight leap onto a fast-moving train, powered by relentless percussion and groove, with sudden swerves that snap the floor awake. Heavy, urgent, and unpredictable yet always precise, it’s a reminder that energy doesn’t need excess to be overwhelming. For those hearing them for the first time, it’s the perfect entry point; for those who already know, it’s another layer of proof. With their debut EP arriving September 15 on Stagno Records, this set stands as a clear statement of intent.

Drawing inspiration from everyday encounters and digital overstimulation, Atrice's music is refreshing, unique and modern - idm, experimental & bass driven - it somehow also sits perfectly amongst the class & purity of old school & solidified genres like dub, bass, techno - which is seen in their releases on labels like Illian Tape. 

On top of their productions and live sets, Lino & Pablo extend their craft with their on theme DJ'ing - always presenting new & exciting.. and always making perfect sense. For their animix, a beautiful journey through dub and beyond.

Új Bála returns to Dalmata Daniel with DDE10, his third solo release on the label and his first since 2019. In the meantime, he has appeared on compilations and performed frequently at the label’s events before relocating to Brussels, where he has been based for several years. This new EP bridges the past and present of his sound: half of the tracks were written in Budapest in 2018, the other half in Brussels in 2024.

The four pieces form a skewed narrative of fractured club music, from the bubbling, spooky, melodic fragments of Kalt Kult, through the bizarre, schizophrenic interlude of Episode, to the sharp, minimalist leftfield techno of Chaton Rouge, and closing with the broken structures of Titok, which resonate most closely with his current style.

As with every entry in the DDE series, this 10th episode comes in a highly limited edition 8" lathe-cut vinyl (25 copies only) with risograph-printed artwork designed by Daniel Jani (Studio Jetski) and printed by BPZines.

For this special 20 years of Soma celebration, Slam invites good friends and spectacular producers, Pan-Pot to provide reworks of the classic Lifetime track. 
Pan-Pot are one of the most exciting production duets around today, having garnered success with tracks such as ‘Charly ’ and ‘Captain my Captain’ as well remixes of the like of Booka Shade’s ‘Regenerate’. For this exclusive release on Soma, Pan-Pot lend their talents to Slam’s ‘Lifetimes’, providing two fresh and exciting remixes that throb, pulse and build into instant dancefloor classics. 
The EP kicks of with their ‘Bass Times Remix’ where precise, minimalist percussion, vast soundscapes and distorted basslines are laid down underneath a controlled and stripped back original vocal. The track builds nicely to a vox-laden broken beat drop, and a 2 minute long 4/4 techno stomp. Pan- Pot’s ‘Tribute To Life Remix’ follows with yet more murky soundscapes, a thumping kick drum, progressive builds in percussion and the of course that bassline . Twisting the original track to provide a darkly nuanced and intricate tech-house monster, Pan-Pot do more than justice to this remix.

Following acclaimed excursions on Hypercolour (‘Needs You EP’) and Will Saul’s Aus Music (‘Child EP’) last year, George FitzGerald is preparing to make his return to his Hotflush home for the first time since 2011. Premiering in FitzGerald’s debut Radio 1 Essential Mix last month as part of the ‘2013’s Future Stars’ series, ‘Thinking Of You’ is scheduled to drop as a Beaport exclusive on 18th March, with full physical release and accompanying tracks to follow in May.
 
Having displayed his innate understanding of how to craft a musical narrative with the Essential Mix, ‘Thinking Of You’ turns to the darker realms of the dance floor imbued with the same kind of precision-tooled grooves, nuanced melodic touch and emotive shades that have garnered him such praise in the past.
 
The last twelve months have been extremely busy for FitzGerald as he continues to capture the attention of industry heads and fans alike with his refined and emotive homegrown club music.
