Beato beats it, plain and simple. Hailing from Miami, Florida Greg Beato djs like a seasoned veteran who has been in the trenches fighting the fight for a long time. His mix from earlier this month for Funkineven's NTS show displayed style, finesse and true poise behind the decks. For his L.I.E.S. podcast we see him continue in that fashion beating out tracks by the likes of Dirty Criminals, Drexciya, maybe some Rob Hood and maybe even some of his own cuts in there. As a producer Beato's debut, which hit stores last month on Funkineven's Apron Records was a unique and rough three track ep made strictly for dj use...if you missed that...well you lost...His debut ep drops for L.I.E.S. next week and continues where his last ep left off with complete roughness. Don't sleep on Beato as he is one of the forward thinking new hopes in the American underground.
