Get ready for some true wonkiness, courtesy of Neil Landstrumm. 

This is techno purely for those rock-solid psyches who lack that element of the deranged, the off-kilter and the strange — on the dance-floor and in their own mental constitution. If you're even slightly in doubt of your sanity, stay well clear of this cut.

The fact that he's been using Elektron instruments probably means it's even more important to have that straight jacket at the ready. Even that won't stop you from dancing, though.

Neil has been making wonky techno since antiquity, hell, he's the progenitor of the genre, but what you probably didn't know is that he's also been doing graphics for Rockstar Games, the software house that brought you Grand Theft Auto. He's been a skilled Elektron user from the very beginning, from the high and far off times of the Sidstation.

Warmly welcoming Gacha Bakradze on Horoom, we share the work of a Georgian artist that has gained international recognition in the past years.  Opening with „Elevate“ the track stays true to its name: elevating melodies guiding through a jungle of beats. In a time where harder is better, Gacha Bakradze elegantly suggests a more minimalistic approach to the sound of electronic music. While „Toulouse“ blends darker streams with aquatic hope, „Employee“ enjoys a big drop in the middle, just to continue on a more melodic note. Well crafted music through and through, this EP combines the flavours of different genres without bending them.

Tresor Records is pleased to announce the new reissue of James Ruskin's seminal Point 2 album.

First released in 2000, it marked a fine debut that entrenches the minimal sequences, utilitarian funk and eerie hypnosis found within Ruskin's body of work. As Tresor's relationship with the UK sound grew stronger across the course of the '00s, it was Ruskin, the label owner of Blueprint Records, who played a critical part in this. Throughout the trio of LPs released over that decade, inspirations of the sci-fi minimal Detroit sound lie abundant, rendered through corporeal slammers typical of the UK vein.

Point 2 was the first of Ruskin's trilogy for Tresor, and brought a direct and uncompromising vibrancy to the fore, from the aquatic symphony featured on 'From Over The Edge' to the pinpoint gaze of 'Subject'. Gurning loops beat against alien samples, drained into refined abstractions of pure techno.

Newly remastered and featuring two tracks previously not cut onto vinyl, this upfront and bold classic is set to span dancefloors once again.

James Ruskin - Eight 3

The second Various Artists EP on Kynant is the spiralling techno of LADA (the duo of Dasha Rush & Lars Hemmerling), atmospheric acid from the anonymous MA, Andreas Tilliander and Svreca in a fierce collaboration and a fresh, hybrid sound from Agonis.
