From the streets of Hanoi, Tobes brings us a reworked Vietnamese classic from Mỹ Linh with her 1998 classic Tóc Ngắn (Short Hair). Tóc Ngắn was a turning point for Vietnamese music, bringing R&B, Funk, and Soul into the mainstream. It was a pioneering track with a more western style, produced by her husband who had returned to Vietnam after years living in Europe. 

With this rework Tobes wanted to re-imagine the track as a 90's house anthem, reflective of the dance hits that were sweeping Europe at the time of its original release. 

“I’ve been living in Vietnam for few years now, I’m always digging for old school house and disco tracks from all over the world, but I’ve never been able to find anything club friendly from Vietnam, so I decided to try and make my own”

Với Nhã Nhạc, Quện muốn cộng hưởng giữa hai yếu tố: Âm nhạc và địa điểm. Để rồi những hình ảnh đó len lỏi vào và trở nên gần gũi hơn với đời sống của mọi người. Từ đường to đến hẻm nhỏ, nơi nào còn đôi tai, nơi đó cần đồ rê mi sol la si đố. 

Số thứ 5 ra lò với sự góp nhạc từ người anh Jazz Cát Lượng, lần đầu tiên mang âm nhạc vinyl (đĩa than) xuất hiện trên Nhã Nhạc với mixset CHIỀU CHỦ NHẬT.

Quện xin gửi những tình cảm bự nhất đến 𝗖𝗼̂ Chú Hùng (tiệm hớt tóc Hùng) và các cô chú nhà bên đã hỗ trợ chúng con hoàn thành những thước phim ca nhạc này ❤️
