L Pro Take The Show

L PRO presents Vertigo, a collection of joints produced by native Portland producer 5th Sequence.

This record is the follow up to their EP “Equilibrium” which was released earlier this year. Equilibrium did well with its release by getting fans around the world familiar with L PRO and 5th Sequence.

 Both L PRO and 5th Sequence were said to bring back the template of historic veterans, Pete Rock and CL Smooth; and 5th Sequence and L PRO with their release of Equilibrium truly brought back the flavor of the golden age of hip hop.

    BTLhiphop.com called Vertigo one of the most anticipated releases after reviewing Equilibrium. They conclude after their review of Equilibrium, “If you’re a true head, you need this!”

    L PRO and 5th Sequence present Vertigo as a complete piece of work that consists of true lyrical skill and raw beats produced by 5th Sequence and others such as Arkitek and DVS from L PRO’s previous group Grassrootz.

    The opening intro to Vertigo brings clever scratches, banging drums and a nice salutation, “Welcome to Vertigo!” Scratches of Pro’s voice saying, “now you know my name” ring so true after hearing this joint.
    With guest appearances by Asa, Angel, Tokyo Nelson, Mic Crenshaw, Destro Destructo and Pricetag; this record is full of good music.

    Available at lpromusic.com and lpro.bandcamp.com, Vertigo is sure to keep giving hip hop fans what they got with Equilibrium. From joints like Walk of Life, a descriptive joint about observation of everyday life, to Wanna Know which is a skills track where L PRO’s skills truly shines, Vertigo is a culmination of talent shared by L PRO, 5th Sequence and the guest on the record.

	L PRO entered the music scene with his first record "Uncharted Regions" produced by D-Wyze in 1996. This album featured guest appearances by the Lifesavas, Cool Nutz, Destro and others. 

Ultimately, this album proved to be a well rounded album and received accolades from XXL magazines Adisa Banjoko who noted, "these cats are nice, real nice; from the opening track, Navigation to Four Oclock in the morning and No Matter, you can tell that D-Wyze and L Profound aint new to this." Banjoko continues with... "They have true skills and lace the album with a tone of positivity that doesnt come off as corny or condescending."

After the release of Uncharted Regions, Grassrootz disbanded and Dwyze travelled to California to continue his work as a producer. Co-producing the joint Spark the Underground in Long Beach, California. In the following years, L PRO experianced some personal set backs which ultimately kept him out of the studio for a time. After a while, PRO entered back into the studio with Soul P and was featured on Soul P's Simply Soul, and Soul Affect.
After this project, PRO was back in the studio to work on the biographical "Chronicles" with producer Arkitek and executive producer Rev. Shines of the Lifesavas. This record featured guest appearances from Libretto, Destro, and Syndel of Sirens Echo. 

This record proved to be a solid joint and left many wanting more from this emcee. Not long after the release of Chronicles, L PRO started his work with producer 5th Sequence. 

This was the beginning the "Vertigo". A collection of hard hitting drums, solid lyrical skills and thought provoking concepts for true Hip Hop fans. With this record being released soon, L PRO remains committed to bringing a new sound to the pacific northwest and the world. With solid collaborations with Angel, Asa, Price Tag and others....Vertigo is promising to bring what many expect from L PRO.
