I made this tune to support my friends from Colombia. Watching what is going on there right now causes tears in my eyes and I can’t stare away from this. I am with you guys! Stay strong and don’t let the situation in your country effect you! 

I made this track with a hard feeling in my heart and it appeared to be very emotional and strong. You can feel pain and hope here. I know once you hear it you will feel me and my friends from Colombia. WE ARE TOGETHER!

PRK makes a techno he calls "organik". Since 1 year, and his beginnings in the musical production, he experiments more and more to create a raw techno, deep and soaring at the same time. It is a clever mix of jerky textures, thorny and hypnotic melodies, all on powerful and rhythmic percussions. This style is at the crossroads between rave party (hardcore, acidcore, trance...) and industrial techno. Depuis quelques années maintenant, BitterCaress s’épanouit à travers son propre cheminement musical. Ayant acquis une solide formation en musique classique après avoir étudié le piano au conservatoire à Paris, c’est à son arrivée à Montréal en 2014 qu’elle est tombée amoureuse de la techno.

Raveuse professionnelle, organisatrice d’événements techno pendant un certain temps, elle a su développer et enrichir sa culture musicale avant de passer derrière les platines à la fin de l’année 2018.

Sa sélection pointue révèle un goût prononcé pour les basses lourdes et les rythmes sans concession. Puisant son inspiration dans une techno old school, mêlant des atmosphères ravy et trancy à des énergies plus brutes et industrielles, son style est à la fois groovy et énergétique. Créative derrière ses platines, ouvertes à différents genres musicaux et aimant prendre des risques, elle n’hésitera pas à vous jouer ses plaisirs coupables du moment.

Sa carrière ne faisant que commencer, elle est déjà bien établie sur la scène locale montréalaise avec plusieurs performances à son actif, notamment un passage au Stereo Nightclub, ainsi qu’une résidence au sein du collectif très en vogue, OCTOV. De plus, elle gère une émission mensuelle, The Movements, sur la radio en ligne montréalaise, La Face B, où elle invite occasionnellement d’autres artistes techno.

Elle a également lancé la série de podcasts Mixing for a Cause où elle invite des artistes locaux et internationaux à enregistrer un mix dans le but de sensibiliser leur public à plusieurs causes qui leur tiennent à cœur.

Dans le même esprit, depuis fin 2020, elle gère désormais son tout nouveau projet solo, MFC Records. Un label créé pour soutenir de nouveaux talents ainsi que des artistes déjà bien établi.e.s de tous horizons qui souhaitent soutenir une cause. Tous les profits des sorties du label seront reversés à des associations soigneusement sélectionnées.

A travers cette série et ce label, elle espère toucher un maximum de personnes et bâtir un monde meilleur.

For several years now, BitterCaress has been pursuing her own musical path. Coming from a classical music background and after studying the piano at the conservatory for several years in Paris, she discovered techno in Montreal when she moved there in 2014.

Professional raver and techno events’ organizer for a while, she had the chance to broaden her musical culture before going behind the decks at the end of 2018.

Her sharp selection reveals a marked taste for heavy bass and uncompromising beats. Her style is best described as ravy and highly energetic as she draws her inspiration from old school techno, mixing ravy and trancy atmospheres with raw and industrial energies. The artist gets highly creative behind the decks with her openness to other genres and her appetite for risks when comes the time to play unexpected guilty pleasures. BitterCaress definitely knows how to make people dance and will slay any dancefloors.

Her technical DJing skills, knowledge, brinksmanship, blantantly decent enthusiam, friendship, and the fact she's one of the five RIOT test subjects for new releases anyways (that was asecret until now) which means she's already privvy to information on the label and shows before anyone else, aaaaaaaand the magnificent fact that she's RIOT's go to hottest cover model appearing on a whole load of our releases all suggests that she was the first and only person to ask to jump on board the RIOT train ............... as co-resident.
