An arrangement of The Great Fairy Fountain by Koji Kondo from 'The Legend of Zelda' series.

I apologize for the lack of professionalism on the pianist's part (myself, haha). This was recorded on an upright piano in a narrow room next to a wooden staircase. I had to pull the piano away from the wall and undress it (hohoho) so I got to see a full view of its innards (which led me to fix that middle pedal that brings the felt down ~score!~). But no matter what I tried, nor where I placed the microphone (behind, above, close-up, pianist's head, inside) The piano's soundboard is ultimately stuck in a box, and I couldn't get a crisp sound (I'm not really sure that a crisp sound from a piano would sound as nice anyway... the box makes the sound rich, right?).

In the end, I settled with putting the microphone head beneath the keyboard, just above the floor, but this came at a price: You can hear the pedalling! >.<"
To add to my troubles, I have a really creaky (almost squeaky) piano chair which is in the perfect position to creak into the microphone (this combos well with my tendency to sway as I play the piano).

Ah well, for my first serious attempt at recording, not bad.
