Says the pair on the creation of their track:

"We are all living the next step in technology and human evolution. We channel and warp electrical impulses through metals, crystals and minerals that then push the air around you to generate feelings of bliss, imagination, wonder, a hint of gracelessness, and existential creativity. With that in mind, this style of music shall be dubbed "Future Wonk". 

On a rainy evening young Pwdr journeys to the highest mountain in Colorado. After a quick transcendental meditation and cup of tea he begins to work his magic. In a blinding furry he begins to conjure sound from the energy around him. Blasting layers of samples into a seemingly random but harmonious fashion, The birth of a mechanical, wobbly sonic pattern was born. This sort of experimentation is the brainchild of two mad scientist creatives, unabashedly conducting a journey through the sonic realms. “Pwdr: Our early attempts at a Wonk Beam went through several preparations. Preparations A through G were a complete failure. But now, ladies and gentlemen, we finally have a working Wonk Beam, which we shall call... BRING IT BACK! Calectic: Why don't you just call it operation ass-cream?” 

We like the idea of going into a track and just letting it take you where it needs to go. I think a certain amount of intuitive experimentation is a healthy way to go about making art. The act of creation is about feeling, not necessarily thinking. At least for us. So that's exactly what we did. This track can be looked at in a manner of sending a call to the infinite universe and allowing it to bring back a piece of the puzzle, using us as a vessel to channel the creativity of the divine. When we create a piece of art, in a way it unlocks another face of what matter and energy could be. So what we are bring to you today is another aspect of what could be. “To walk safely through the maze of human life, one needs the light of wisdom and the guidance of Wonk”. This track is also inspired by the concept of using samples only in a drop. We learned this one from Tynan in his "In the Daw" video. Check that out if you get a second! One night we were chilling in our onesies, drinking India’s Gau Jal with a side of the finest cheese Italy has to offer. My grandma comes down stairs and tries to hop on the beat. “Aye Grams, we Wonking here!!” She was persistent and in one foul swoop laid the heaviest third drop any wook could feast their ears on. It was a nice change of pace for us and a new area of creation we hadn't explored and we are both stoked on the outcome. Go hop in the studio and Wonk it up. May the Wonk be with you..."

Pwdr X Calectic - BRING IT BACK

We are proud to bring you this amazing piece of art by @shanemakesound called Whiteout!

Says Shane about the track:

"This piece was aimed at capturing a sense of isolation and confusion. I've felt like I've been walking in place due to the financial situation tuition put me in, my lack of development in music, art, really any field I applied myself to, coupled with the situation where my parents and I have to take care of my autistic brother who doesn't seem like they'll ever be at a point where they can take care of themselves. I'm worried about the present and the future is unclear. That's the feeling I wanted to convey through this really cold and personal instrumental. I thought of the static as more of an instrument than an effect in this and I wanted it to obscure the listeners hearing to emulate a low visibility snow storm where the scenery is static. I also aimed to make the instrument's presence open in some parts but claustrophobic in others to really drive home that boxed in feeling. I've also been fed up with the "banger" culture in music, and this track is part of an album that serves as a rejection of that idea. I'm not looking for people to dance to it, I'm looking for people to feel something from it."
