La Bonnie, aka Antonella De Paoli, is an Apulian DJ, born and raised in the heart of Salento area.
Well known for her unique sound and passion for vinyl, La Bonnie began her journey in the music world as a teenager, falling in love with black music, but it was on a trip to New York that she realized she wanted to become a DJ, fascinated by the African- American art and culture known on the streets of Brooklyn, among DJs and dancers.
Moved to Bologna, it’s here that she learned the art of DJing, frequenOng the clubs of the city, making her first experiences and friendships with important Italian DJs.
ARer several years she came back to her own Puglia, where she brought her musical baggage, a unique fusion of styles and influences, growing it and creaOng her unique style, which is constantly renewed, thanks to conOnuous music research, and which today makes her as one of the most appreciated female DJs in the Puglia scene.
Over the years, La Bonnie has shared the stage with arOsts like Daddy G (Massive AUack), Gorillaz, Dj Maseo (De la Soul), Xantone Blacq, Nicola Conte and many other important Italian DJs, in clubs and fesOvals such as Torre Regina, Locus Fes>val, Up to the Jefu and Crime Room in Puglia, Fred, Radio Raheem and Wolf in Milan, Alcazar, Circolo degli Illumina> in Rome, LullaBay in Ostuni, Mamaluna in Bari, Lido Gandoli in Taranto and many other Apulian venues.
La Bonnie has also collaborated with many brands in the fashion world, such as Max Mara, Max & co and Dior, taking care of the music direcOon of many events.
Today her sound is a unique mix of interesOng House, Afro and Disco vibraOons, which La Bonnie also brought back in her first EP, “Let’s Dance”, released both on vinyl and digital on the Let Me Know record label.
