Coming from the traffic-saturated streets and lo-fi screamo scene of Mexico City, rising producer Max Jones makes his debut on Correspondant with the Cornetto EP. 

Lead cut “Cornetto” starts things off in the label’s signature style of deep, dark dancefloor warmups, with a live-feel percussive line and foggy drones shot through with confrontational midrange sirens. “Uh Oh” opens at a clip with an electrified, alien pulse, but keeps to the stripped-back core elements of thrashing cymbals and two alternating vocal samples. “Slow feat. Mijo” finds Jones teaming up with ongoing collaborator Alec Sander in a sinister, new wave-inspired cut, built around a narcotic vocal mantra and resonant, oscillating synths, while the minimal, throbbing bassline of “L.M.M” follows its own trail into a sonic wormhole, offset by crispy hi-hats to round out the EP. 

Cornetto follows previous label releases Polina, from Agents of Time, and The Ballroom collaborative 12” from Jennifer Cardini and David Shaw, and will see a vinyl and digital release on September 22.

Roam's latest EP from the up and coming Ton Globiter, also known as Dominique who came to prominence after getting attention from the Lithuanian blog site Whypeopledance... is simply fire.
Equilibrium gets the remix treatment from Pierre Vue, AKA Connor. Connor is one of the hottest exports from Belgium, sweeter than chocolate, more intoxicating than the range of trappist beers that Belgium is famous for and more skillful than Kevin De Bruyne doing kick ups on the edge of a World War One trench.
For his remix, Connor strips back the urgency and replaces it with a deeper groove, cowbells and wonky delays but allows the creepiness of the original to stay. JP has paired up two talented producers who have managed to both highlight and compliment each other. The press release describes the EP as 'slightly left field dance music from artists on the rise', which makes it sound like there is much more to come from both these guys. 
If that's the case and they are going to be releasing tracks of this quality... bring it on.
