Medical Records is proud to present the quintessential first album by Gina X Performance. Gina X Performance was composed of the charismatic Gina Kikoine (vocals/lyrics) along with famous German producer/musician Zeus B. Held and backing band. Released in 1978 on various labels including EMI, “Nice Mover” has been out of print on vinyl format since 1980. Zeus B. Held has previously worked with the band Birth Control and has recorded multiple solo albums as well. “Nice Mover” has been an internationally regarded electro/disco record with various tracks appearing on compilations throughout the years (e.g. Andrew Weatherall’s “Nine O’Clock Drop”). The track “No G.D.M.” (a tribute to famous gay actor/writer/personality) was a club hit on both sides of the Atlantic and remains a commonly heard track on better DJ sets to this very day. It is made up of an infectious slow driving disco-esque beat with perfectly aligned and arranged synth accompaniments. Gina’s unmistakable and truly unique vocals and lyrics set this record apart from its contemporaries. Tackling controversial subject matter such as transgenderism, exhibitionism, and other fetishes , this record has left a deep mark on the history of new wave and electro/disco. The title track “Nice Mover” is a cosmic sequenced synth hit and also has appeared on various compilations. The bouncing “Be A Boy” is a high energy dancefloor cutter that illustrates the internal thought processes and daydreams of a female longing to become a male. “Black Sheep” continues this theme and is a very catchy number with bonus sheep sounds to keep it interesting... The closing track “Tropical Comic Strip” starts off with peaceful cricket samples and piano and builds into a bombastic production that is a fitting close to the record. Master recordings provided by Zeus B. Held and remastered by Lafayette Masters, Freiburg. Officially licensed from Mr. Held (KGBeat Productions) directly. This is a seminal work of electro/disco/wave and is essential for fans of late 70’s wave-synth-disco crossover and the like. Original reproduction artwork is preserved on the front (one of the best record covers of the entire scene) and back. Presented on high quality 180gram “bone” colored vinyl in a limited edition pressing of 1000 hand-numbered copies. Includes bonus insert with liner notes and interview by Kurt B. The next 12" in Dark Entries Editions is a hard to find Italo Disco club hit. Big Ben Tribe are a trio formed in Trieste, Italy in 1983. The line-up is: Ricky Persi (bass), Stefano Previsti (computers and drum machine), Renato Posani (guitar & D.J).Their name is taken from the Disco Club 'Big Ben' in Trieste, the place where Renato Posani worked every night.
"Tarzan Loves The Summer Nights" was recorded in Milan in the Spring of 1983 and released on Gong Records in 1984. The band created their signature sound using a Mini Moog, Prophet 5, Korg Synthesizer, LinnDrum, Alembic Bass and Fender Stratocaster. Guest vocalist Clara Moroni softly sings about a romantic jungle dream adventure where she is living with the handsome and brave Tarzan. Strong LinnDrum percussion serves as a counterpoint to the infectious vocal melody and catchy synth hooks. The B-side features an instrumental version with extended breaks and dubbed out bass lines. 
Both songs are remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl comes housed in a glossy jacket with original artwork of a female model lying on the floor grabbing the leg of a mannequin. Each copy includes an insert with lyrics, photos and liner notes by Ricky Persi. "Tarzan Loves The Summer Nights" will transport you to a fantasy world full where you can find your own muscle man to love.

My extended edit of Crazy Gang's 'Every Sunday' as released on Flexx in 2006.
Taken from the original masters provided by Claudio Simonetti. It took Claudio several months to find the tapes and i remember we were so disappointed when we finally got our hands on the digital transfer. It sounded like the whole thing was recorded in Claudio's bathroom. Luckily Flemming Dalum hooked us up with Gert Nygaard who did a great job restorating the audio.

Elle happe, accapare et renverse. Toute résistance est vaine. Et on chute avec délice parce que le noir est éclairé, la froideur bandante, tendue comme un arc.  
Laurent Pastor et Marc Lapeyre ( Fkclub ) sont les coupables de cette Décadanse où « la glace ne blesse plus », comme le décrit le titre éponyme, du timbre à la fois suave et distant de la photographe Caroline Chevalier. Le patron de label a basculé de l’autre côté pour passer en production, attiré par son complice dans un studio en sous-sol, au son alléchant des guitares et des synthés modulaires. De la confrontation de ces deux fortes (id)entités sort un premier EP où la culture club est cinématique (Train in Vein, Drive Easy), le post-punk distingué (Plan B), l’électronique moléculaire (Decadanse). Et quand Susumu Makai s’aventure dans les méandres de Ruin, il en livre une version vertigineuse.
