LABAREDA's new release (since 2019), comes from Copenhagen based artist Nova Varnrable.

In Passages, Nova roams and weaves together new material, demos, sketches and new mixes of already released songs from the past, layering them in a way that creates a new narrative. 
A discrepant collage of electronic production, a timeless transit. 

Side A - Passage, is a long form 30 minutes mixtape that swings like timeless fragmented pieces communicating a duality that gives meaning to states that once felt meaningless, storytelling from an unknown state familiar to the past, present and the future. 

SIDE B plucks some of Passage fragments into extended states pushing even further with two edits/remixes from Lisbon's admirable rovers: Ondness and Polido.

I only have the recording of the second hour of my opening set at Neopop Electronic Music Festival Anti Stage. It was 4pm and I was the festival's rookie. 
I took most of the tracks and made this short version.

LABAREDA is back with a new tape and release, the seventh. The label keeps on pushing and celebrating first works and albums of the most atypical and alien portuguese artists this time with the deep minimalist compositional, (and first) album from Sofia Mestre aka Clothilde. Twitcher was made and shaped using Clotilde’s partner Hobo homemade machinery and modulars with all tracks recorded in one take and filling us up with textures, melodies and sections of zero visible ending points echoing Annea Lockwood, Jessica Rylan, Oliveros, Maryanne Amacher and Radigue in a mesh of primal experimentation and awe. 52 minutes of deep listening brutalism. ▲
