Jeton is celebrating a milestone: 15 years and 200 releases. The label, founded by Ferhat Albayrak in 2009 and based in Istanbul, reflects the meeting culture of East and West in Istanbul for centuries. For years, it has been a base for upcoming new breeds, as well as a respected regular place for artists. From the dawn of time, it has been only Techno, with at least one release per month for 15 years in a row. Now, Jeton has become a place that few imprints can reach, with a monument of sustainability for years. JET200 is an 8-track celebration from our best artists, colleagues, and friends, reflecting our approach to the future. Jeton has also become the biggest Techno promoter in its region, by serving the best possible music and atmosphere available globally. The 15-year celebrations will be started in Istanbul end of summer with great events. Null Forms debuts in our digital series with an extensive 5-track EP that covers the most direct part of techno, but with an elaborate and complex character. Distorted Reality is the first exercise in this EP, direct to the bone from the first bars, with repetitive and piercing components, administered with the precise dose of distortion. Hence the title. Nox is the second cut, which moves in similar parameters, but with more mental and hypnotic components. The development here is more progressive without leaving aside forcefulness and controlled aggressiveness at all times. BiiBii, approaches more abstract and sci-fi terrain, maintaining the danceable pulse and well-managed distortion. The result this time is more mental and synthetic. A kind of controlled chaos. We approach the end of the danceable exercises with Nope, where more floating elements are introduced such as high-frequency drones combined with rough and saturated textures that result in an ideal song for the peak moments in any long session. To finish, Void represents the farewell in ambient mode, completely absent of rhythm, with liquid textures and combined organic and synthetic components.
