I wrote and recorded this "pong soem" ("pwong SO EM")while in Toronto. I am interested in pushing my poems into songs, walking the line between the two, in a continuous quest to understand the edges of what a poem is and what a song is and to understand my voice, the sound of words, rhythm and poetry.

I wrote this pong soem while listening to other music (Thao and the Get Down Stay Downs). I write when I run. I've not been able to have a baby biologically. This idea has always felt more song to me than poem, but I am a poet, not a songwriter (which further begs us to question these divisions).

Baby

I wrote this song-poem in the middle of four days of silence. Consider breaking the silence of an empty space with your own tender voice.

You are my only daughter

I just made this this morning because it's raining outside and the birds sound nice in my neighborhood.
