A song about mature relationships or growth in relationships.
Melody and text came to me once in automn (”Herbst” in German) while driving the car and while feeling this big gap between hard times in partnership and the wish of creating a family.
After some years passed, this song now also represents a possible road to new kinds of relationships, where we aim to set each other free and where all kinds of ”kids” can be born: dreams for the future, creative projects, spiritual development or ”old school” physical kids :)

German is my mothertongue and still I mostly sing in other languages :)

Et underligt land - "A weird land"
A song about entering new landscapes, both in the physical world and in our inner world. 
A song about transition times and how to step forward into the unknown by finding answers inside ourselves. Even by making mistakes, we can get more clear sight and see the light of wisdom.

Danish has become my second mothertongue, but Denmark also still sometimes feels like "a weird land" :)

"Et Underligt Land"  Live+ version

This Hungarian folk song (popular in the version of Marta Sebestyen) is sung by a woman who is waiting for her boyfriend/partner to return. We don't know where he is – maybe on a long travel or fighting in a war, lost in his personal journey or maybe run away from his angry girlfriend...well... who knows. But the young lady puts her hope into a small violet flower in her garden, who returns each spring. She also talks to the singing bird and asks him to sing its beautiful song for the broken heart(s). In verse three, she, or the bird? suddenly sings: "Those who have been hurt will be comforted by the one who has hurt them." Who has hurt who? The story also doesn´t tell us. 

I like this thought (planted in my head by a friend who heard me sing this song): We live in a time where we can heal both the male and female part inside ourselves. And this song encourages us to start comforting the part in us which we unconsciuously transformed into a black sheep. Actually we can only find peace when both (all) parts of us can unfold and become strong, helping each other on the way. And by doing this we might even come a step closer to peace around us.

Very popular Greek melody, I learned it from Borislav in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) and heared parts of it quoted from several Folk musicians in Athens this spring. Of course I adapt it a bit to my own expression, combined with this advice:
