The 23rd release on The AudioBloc label welcomes back Insical for his debut EP on the label this August.

Insical has a mysterious background, coming from the distant outdoor raves of Portugal, where he grew up until he was 19 years old. And from the basements and clubs of London, where he spent 6 years studying, perfecting his craft and absorbing all the electronic music culture he could. Recently, he's moved to California to pursue a once in a lifetime opportunity, working as a full-time composer and engineer, which includes collaborating with the legendary band, Rabbit In The Moon and working for Insomniac Events in their media department. The LA-based artist appeared at the Bloc in January with his outstanding remix of Andre Keller's 'Fire & Flames' and now drops his 'Reign' EP on UK label The AudioBloc.

'Reign' sees Insical explore hypnotic elements, tunnelling rhythms that fuse with modular signals and a haunting church choir at its break. The EP's second selection comes in the form of 'Flood', which balances subtle progression of more raw signals and bleeps along with a timely drop seals its brilliance.

The first remix of Reign comes courtesy of Rowka from Manchester, having notable releases on Taro and User Experience. Rowka dials up the raw energy with his take, saturating and roughing up the components of the original to significant effect. An essential of T78's imprint, Autekone is the man from Liverpool, Jason Cluff. Already building an impeccable roster of material early on in his career, Jason administers a melodic interpretation to the proceedings for his vision of 'Reign'. Finally, newcomers from Liverpool, with releases on IDentity and Egothermia, are the boys known as ARCTEK. Increased intensity, tempo and stripped back rawness are on offer for their reworking of Flood, rounding out the EP perfectly.

Ezaüf is a Techno producer/Live act based in Paris.
His production is a great combination of experimenting a darker path than the electronic schemes and love for wires/analogic touch which appears to be a purgatory for young engineers. His relentless search for a raw and deep sound, balanced with structural feelings, generates an intriguing mix of power, hope, and at the same time anxiety and stress which reflects the search for soothing the conscience burning.

Laboratory of Noises was founded by Limbus Puerorum and The Outgrinder. It is a contemporary label developing experimental music that spans four/four and irregular rhythms, broken beats and ambient sounds by manipulating and tweaking the intricacies of the realm of Noise art. 
Laboratory of Noises’ exploration of music: 
The assembly of sounds commonly perceived as unpleasant or painful stands in apparent contradiction to the conventional aesthetic of what music is supposed to be. Laboratory of Noises is interested in this contradiction, and seeks to break it down through its musical output. 
Characterized by a dense atmosphere made of minimalist drones, harsh growls, and screaming, distorted voices, The Lab constructs a dark and dissonant universe using prolonged feedback effects, shrill squeaks and sub-bass pulse hums created with synthesizers. Deeply atonal, there are no conventional melodies or rhythms. The output’s structure, its meaning, effect on the listener and the different characteristics of the tracks establish a link with the musical equivalent of destruction, entropy and havoc.

As an outfit that has existed on the fringes of the club scene, Operant continues their willingness to break genre taboos and expectations with their debut LP, Traumkörper, exhibiting a hybrid vision of electronic and organic elements that gives rise to a sound self-described as somewhere between extra-terrestrial black-metal, singularity-sludge, proto-psy-trance, anime noise-core techno and auto-tuned trap-folk.

These disparate methodologies are bound together by the conceptual elements that operate at the core of Operant’s thematic universe: the transcendence and destruction of the body, consciousness melding with machines and the manufacturing of new realities. As a blueprint to new forms, Traumkörper sets a path both disorienting and euphoric.

Over the course of 11 tracks the Berlin based duo and operators of record label, Instruments Of Discipline, Luna Vassarotti (IT) and August Skipper (AUS) birth their dream-body, an unsettling soundtrack for the strangeness of our times.
