20 year old artist, “labriestir” started cultivating his sound in his early years of high school. His third release on Soundcloud, hitting almost 30,000 plays, gave him a high that he would inevitably chase for the rest of his life. In his final year of high school he was conflicted on choosing a career path. His only passion being music, he was uninterested in your everyday 9-5. He had a realization that would change his life forever. To put it simply, he decided to follow his dreams.

Wanting to learn more about the industry he studied and graduated from Algonquin College’s Music Industry Arts program, in August, of 2024. During his time on campus, he frequently collaborated with the artist, “DEEVIUS” who attended the same program the same year. 

labriestir had his song, “Bound By Blood” feature in an indie zombie short film called, “The Eye of Atlas” which aired on Youtube, September, 2024. “Dee-Tee” (now known as Dylan Jenson) who also attended Algonquin College the same year, introduced labriestir to ALL CAPITAL YOW, who gave him his first live performance in July, 2024.

On August 29th, 2025. labriestir was meant to perform on stage with DEEVIUS, at the first annual YOWFEST. Along side artists such as Bankroll Hayden, Xav Trudeau, and Casper TNG. Unfortunately, due to a shooting that occurred on the premises, the festival never made it past sound check. 3 shots fired, no injuries or casualties. This festival would’ve been the highlight of his career.

labriestir has continued to do shows to this day, his biggest, being one of the opening acts for “3MFrench” in Ottawa, during his French Connections Canadian Tour, in November, of 2024. labriestir continues to grow as not only an artist, but a person. With many accomplishments in such a short span of time, it’s safe to say this is a promising young artist who I’ll be keeping my eyes on for years to come.
