Specifically the best song I’ve heard in a while

I fell in love with the person I struggle to recognize today. At least four years have passed and I still think about that person, or rather, what I thought she was. Can you continue to love someone so similar to you yet so different and distant? It seems like a part of me, along with the idea I had of her, has vanished. I have a beautiful memory of a person who never existed, a lie so sweet, a wound so quick that I don't even feel the pain right away but that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth every time I meet her, see her again in the things I do or listen to the music we loved so much. I found the beauty in a person and made her my source of inspiration. Now nothing of what I thought I had found and was creating exists anymore, a pile of rubble and a new beginning just around the corner that scares the hell out of me.
