Our favourite Canadian producer @simondoty is back on Einmusika with a brand new EP. Filling the Blanks EP has Doty's signature sound written all over it. Heavy bass lines, strong kicks and epic soundscapes that make every track Simon creates unique. For the title track 'Fever' he collaborated together with one of our favorite electronic music vocalists - Haptic to create a dance floor filler. On 'Filling the Blanks' Simon worked together with the Egyptian Zein, a collab that never seems to disappoint. The last track on the EP, 'Continuum', seals the deal.

I remember fondly hearing David’s music for the first time. His beautiful haunting vocals and melodies instantly hooked me. I went down a rabbit hole through David’s gorgeous discography. 

His compositions are cinematic, stripped down, cohesive stories that touch our basic emotions. 

When I discovered ‘The World Retreats’ I knew I had to try and do my own club version. I bought the track and immediately started working on it. I was so inspired then that eventually the lead for ‘Her Perfect Sky’ came out of one of the first ideas for this remix.

Eventually I finished the first version and sent it to David on SoundCloud straight away. Without his permission I had taken the liberty to remix one of his own compositions and I was not sure how he would respond to that. 

Thankfully he did like the remix and we kept in touch ever since, that was in 2018.

In 2019 ‘The World Retreats’ is debuting on the highly praised Netflix show show ‘Dark’, David and I aimed to release this remix for free on SoundCloud as a way thank the audiences of both the music and the show and to share our stories with all of you. SoundCloud is where our first connection happened so it made sense for us to come full circle and give it away for free on this platform.
