Ultimae announces the reedition and remaster of Leylines, the fourth Ambient Downtempo album by French composer and sound designer Vincent Villuis, aka AES Dana.

Sculpted from field recordings, analog synthesis, and digitally processed textures, Leylines is a deeply immersive and granular journey. This reedited and remastered edition brings greater spatial clarity and depth, revealing new layers of nuance and sonic interplay.

Inspired by the concept of invisible energy paths believed to link sacred and geomagnetic sites, the album explores the subtle connections between musical genres, emotional states, and the living world.

Originally released in 2009, Leylines quickly became a pivotal work in Villuis’s career. What few people knew at the time is that the album was composed in its entirety twice: after a catastrophic disk crash destroyed the original version, Villuis entered a period of deep introspection before starting over. This shock led not only to emotional reckoning but also to a complete reinvention of his creative process.

Leylines became the foundation for a new compositional language — one built on a fresh sonic palette, renewed patterns, and a more sculptural approach to sound. The final result was more distilled, more intentional, and marked a turning point in his musical trajectory. Upon release, the album reached #1 on the iTunes Electronic Music chart, establishing itself as a landmark within the genre.

With its unique cinematic downtempo aesthetics, Unyt leads us into a perpetually expanding travel through soundscapes while playing with our centers of attention, loss of focus and a certain sense of dispersion.

The album redefines Scann-Tec’s approach to musical composition and introduces multi-form field recordings vaporised in an array of analog and digital tools to create surreal and behind the veil atmospheres ; wide etheral pads floating high above his distinctive, dynamic and well-calibrated low-end,  slender drums, and finely carved rhythmic patterns set the pace gradually transforming free fall into a zero-G experiment.

Vladislav Isaev, music composer and sound sculptor from Moscow, Russia, also known as Scann-Tec started writing music in 1996. He has since been working as Audio director for NIVAL, a Russian game developer and composing music for various TV Series. Vladislav collaborated with The Future Sound of London and Mark Morgan on several projects, and with his partner Elena on Broadcast of Variants.

After several tracks on various compilations and two solo albums, Scann-Tec releases his third opus Unyt on Ultimae.

Hibernation is Seb Taylors outlet for Glitchy experimental chilled Electronica.
The first Hibernation album, Some Things Never Change, was released on respected label Aleph Zero in 2008.
At this point Seb had released a number of Kaya Project albums to great acclaim and gained a loyal following among downtempo aficionados. With many different projects to his name Seb likes to keep them stylistically distinct and Hibernation is devoted to a more electronic realm than Kaya Project, which features live instrumentation from around the world. Hibernation, as the name suggests, heads inwards and locks onto micro edits, quirky samples, glitches and hyper-fine details. Second Nature is the newest album and was released on Interchill Records in 2012.
On this album, Natasha Chamberlain contributes some dreamy vocal flourishes to a number of tunes and Seb also turned to the capable Riad Abji and Vicky Flint for stand up bass and muted trumpet in the signature tune Uncarved Block. With a distinct sonic palette that includes stand up bass, muted trumpet, brush drums, glitches, whomps and warm subs the Hibernation sound is crucial listening. Seb brings a lifetime of musical experience to his production, composition and arrangements, and it shows. Listening to Second Nature conjures up future memories of dark smoky jazz clubs, Bladerunner cityscapes, parallel universes, dreams half-forgotten and epic nights. This is music with spirit, narrative and detail.

Raul Jordan is the artist behind the Lab’s Cloud project. Born in 1978 in Valencia (Spain).
Raúl began producing Psychedelic Trance as PSYCHO ABSTRACT with many compilations and
three albums in well-known labels. And after some years, in
2004, Raul starts a new project focused in Ambient & Down Tempo music under the project's
name: LAB'S CLOUD.
His style in words of the listeners is: a smooth organic ride, sweet, deep, riding, floating,
beautiful and delicious music oriented to chill outs, with space atmospheres, some chilling
vocals, some ethnic sounds, ethereal flutes and acoustic recordings (percussion, guitars..etc)
that make a sublime fusion that culminates into an aural experience. A definite trip for the soul!
The first single "Esmeralda" appears in 2005 in the compilation Chillum 4 (Agitato Records)
motivating great interest in many international labels. (All releases bellow).
The live performances is a very important item for Lab’s Cloud, for that reason, Raul makes
real live, improvising with synths and adapting the sounds according to the answer of the
audience. 
Since several years, Raúl is working as R+D engineer, developing professional audio
processors (EQ, Compressors-Limiters, crossover...) for Lynx Pro Audio. Actually with his
experience as sound engineer is offering his mixing and mastering services (Abstract
Studios), who demand it.
