On Wednesday 5th June 2013 Lache FM attended a Volunteer Celebration Evening at Eaton Hall in Chester. The event was organised by Chester Voluntary Action, a group that supports charities, community organisations and faith sector groups across Chester. The purpose of the evening was to thank and celebrate volunteers working hard to support various organisations across Chester and to celebrate the spirit of volunteering.

Volunteer Celebration Podcast 2013 - By Lache FM

Lache FM is a Community radio station based in Lache, Chester. The station is part of community charity Lache Park. 

 Our mission is to entertain, inform and engage the communities of Lache and the surrounding area through the power of community radio. 

 We are striving to achieve this by broadcasting community & local news, specialist music, talk and entertainment programmes that we hope will appeal to all sections of our community.

 Our broadcasts also include useful timetable and contact information on community clubs, groups, local charitable organisations, activities, public meetings and surgeries. As well as information on education, training, volunteering and employment opportunities for local people. 

 We endeavour to engage local people from all parts of the community by providing training to enable people to develop the skills needed to produce and present their own community radio programmes.

 Whenever possible we will champion the achievements of local people and community groups. We also aim to provide the community with a voice by acting as forum for the opinions of local people, stimulating and facilitating debate on issues that affect people in Lache. 

 We believe that community radio projects can help strengthen local identities and empower local people by giving them a voice in the community.
