While the band is currently in the studio working on their next album, In the Valley of the Sun offers a sound infused with catharsis, layered with textured guitars, and offers a calmer sonic landscape than what the band usually delivers in concert.

The instrumental track remains faithful to the band’s experimental post-rock style, while hinting that they are working on new material that could be presented during their tour as early as November, in a much more dissonant live setting as Foster mentions:

"It’s been loud, noisy, and truly intentional in my studio recently, which is particularly galvanizing for me since I’m working on a surprising new creative project… Surprising because it wasn’t actually planned at first, and I saw its inspirational essence spark in my heart in such a way that it took precedence over everything I was foreseeing to immerse myself in at that point…"

A SELECTION OF FRESH MUSICAL GEMS FOUND, LOVED AND SHARED BY CREAMINAL

The music supervision agency Creaminal has been advising film directors and creatives in their musical choices for more than ten years. Over the years it has teamed up with Michel Gondry (« Mood Indigo »), Mogwai (« Les Revenants ») or more recently with the french duo Air.

Always on the hunt for music’s « crème de la crème » in their own record collections, their partner labels’ releases and all the current incubators for brand new tracks (Bandcamp, Soundcloud), the team has discovered a bunch of fresh, unreleased, sometimes even still unknown gems.

This team of music geeks couldn’t let them go !

How could they give those little gems the place and exposition they deserved ? By featuring them on the most beloved medium for every music lover : a vinyl. The L A C R È M E project was born – a compilation that would combine musical treasures and be released twice a year as a bundle vinyl+cd boxset (limited run of 1000 ex) and in digital as well. Today we are proud to present Volume #1.

Visuals, Joel Jerome, Kirk Spencer, Jungle or Domotic are some of the artists chosen to be part of this first volume, designed by the young artist Leslie David. The Art Director of the last The Rapture album, Leslie has been collaborating frequently with Bromance, Surface To Air, APC or Colette.
