He's been a big part of the label, supporting some of Lacuna's recent events in 2022 over in Australia and with his release on the label with 'La Nuit' and 'Incredible Thing' with Borderline EP coming soon. Ghost Recs returns with a naughty 3 tracker by the UK based duo Jive Talk - the A-side of which @theghost have been spinning most gigs since receiving the dubplate cut promo in late 2021. Vids of said tune have created a veritable feeding frenzy in Track ID groups. Speculation of its origins can now be put to rest. It’s new. It’s on their label. And it’s absolutely essential!

Jive Talk - Cash Only EP (GRECS002)

Label boss at Talman Records, Paris-born, Berlin-based Okain is a household name for many across house, minimal, and techno. Carrying an unquestionable studio pedigree with releases on Infuse, Pleasure Zone, Constant Sound, Eastenderz, and PIV, his blend of contemporary house has taken him to the booths of renowned institutions, including Panorama Bar, fabric and Rex Club, to name just a few. After dropping his ‘Daddy’s Groove’ EP on the label at the start of 2022, racking up love from names such as Moxie, D’Julz, Chris Stussy, and Djebali, he returns to LOCUS to close April with his ‘All Along’ EP, with American DJ/producer Garrett David on remix duties as he makes his label debut.

‘With You All Along’ is a driving production guided by cosmic melodies and warped vocals as rich organic drums propel the production’s tight and hypnotic groove, taking cues and inspiration from 90s and early 00s tech house staples such as Peace Division. Next, ‘Botellon’ takes a more stripped-back dynamic as fluctuating synth leads and shimmering pads meet skippy drums, while Garrett David’s remix journeys deeper into spacier territories while employing a killer bassline deep within the mix. To close, ‘Escape The Lobby’ switches things up for a final time as punchy kicks, sweeping atmospherics, and squelching stabs unite amongst snippets of bliss

His South American roots combined with European house influences can clearly be heard within his music production and sets. With Dekmantel looming this week, what better time to release Momo's mix inspired by Dek's infamous Boiler Room stage, The Bunker. An ode to a great stage thats served it's last year at the festival in 2022. 

Here’s what he had to say about the mix:

“I’ve spent many an hour watching this bunker teach me and millions of other people something they never knew about music. It’s experimental, it’s eye opening, it’s an education. It’s not so much the fixture or the speakers but the crowd that seems to give the DJ a level of comfort to dig a little deeper and explore the outer edges of their record bag. 

I’ve always taken inspiration from trance and the harder side of house but never let it take over a full hour session on the buttons. Welcome to 60 minutes of tops off, hands up, dekmantel inspired raw dance music.”
