Initially recorded over a series of late-night sessions during the height of the pandemic, it was reworked in the year or so that followed. It's ten songs are about love, loss and baseball set against the backdrop of the early 2020s.

Sailors falling out of love with their ships, broken ponies leaving their stables, and a nostalgia for moments not yet experienced - Swiss based Indie/ Art-Rock band Laddermen around Texas native and front man Leopold Oakes becomes the stage to unpack the city cowboy baggage.

Moving effortlessly between melancholic Indie and Art-Rock, Laddermen gains comparisons to the likes of The Strokes, The Killers and The National. The band’s highly acclaimed debut album “Special Kind of Violence” charted at number 2 on iTunes Alternative Switzerland and got praised as “One of the most beautiful albums of 2021” by Tagesanzeiger. On the heels of their debut release, Laddermen played a run of live shows crowned with an appearance at Wave Fest Rotterdam (NL) alongside German Post-Punk/Wave pioneers Pink Turns Blue.

Laddermen's new EP 'And Now You're Bored' is out April 5th, 2024. It shows the band moving towards more melodic, catchy indie rock song.
