After gaining major recognition through airplay combined with media coverage on all continents with their 2015 EP Subway, Stockholm based duo La Décadance is back with a new release. This time it comes in the form of two original tunes. Ajar and Running.

Ajar is an ethereal gem. The tune is an attempt to put music to the peculiarities of northern summer nights. The north of Europe experiences about 16 hours of sunlight every day during summer, and when nightfall does come, the sun barely sets. The midnight light gives the sky deep colours, and even if there is an hour or two of relative darkness there is always a tiny hint of the sun. Almost like a door Ajar.

The second tune, Running, is a beautiful composition with mixed influences. A funky bass combined with dreamy synths and urban melodies build up a very warm and relaxing atmosphere. This, accompanied by a beautiful vocal bringing the thought to endless daydreaming and quiet evenings of rhythm.

Focusing on progressive tunes on the deeper side of the spectrum, the duo has now been picked up for remix work by the likes of Thomas Schwarts & Fausto Fanizza (Anjunabeats/Anjunadeep), and Nibc (Trunkfunk, Get Physical, Ministry Of Sound). In other words, the coming months will be interesting ones, and these two gentlemen are definitely worth keeping your eyes and ears on.
