Moving Mountains is a mix I recorded live one night while playing at Glo Restaurant & Lounge. It's a blend of breaky, house-based organic sounds, UK electronica & moody downtempo. I also submitted this set for direct support on a recent show; I didn’t get it, but I wanted you guys to hear it anyway. Big rainy season vibes in this one. As always, much love friends.

Otherworld 2024 was arguably the best regional I've ever burned at, and Skybar absolutely smashed it! I really didn't know what I had signed up for when I showed up to play my Friday night set, but I knew that I had to follow Candy Whip, so I prepared a filthy mix of Bass House & Breakbeats. 

However, I actually went "off book" around 2/3rds of the way into my set. I was getting super frustrated over some technical issues that I could not figure out. Thankfully, the lovely Justin Barnes noticed a loose RCA cable coming out of my controller, which explained what I was hearing. Finally able to enjoy myself, I decided to end with a sillier, more troll-y direction, which I think represents Skybar pretty well :) Enjoy!

LadyK is a veritable musical force in the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island.  She has been DJ'ing regularly for 13 years, producing for 6 years and producing the Sexy Lady Show for 2 years.  Her musical vibe includes Afro and bass house, Amapiano, hip hop, r&b and more.  During her own shows she DJ's throughout while also performing solos and doubles on the pole, as well as group finales.  She competed nationally in the Canadian Pole and Aerial Championship in 2024, placing 3rd in her division.  All of her performing dancers have also graced the national stage.

LadyK and em.ash released an EP in 2023 on RF Records titled "Umusa," featuring remixes by Aspen King and Rennie Foster.  She also has previous releases on Union Records as well as ISAVIS Records, both Italian labels.  They are currently working on another EP featuring risque spoken-word poetry; the first track is entitled "My Sex is Electric."

LadyK has been unabashedly expressing her own fierce sensuality in an effort to inspire others to do the same.  She embodies divine feminine empowerment in her unique artistic expression as a DJ, pole dancer and producer.
