WARM UP ! Simply Rockers est un collectif implanté à Lisbonne. Sa première session sound system fut organisée en 2012 et depuis, le crew a comme objectif de divulguer le passé et le présent de la musique roots rock reggae dub au travers de sessions qui expliquent par la musique ce qui ne s’explique pas par des mots. Invités au HIM DUB Festival du 1er au 4 Septembre, il est l’un des sound systems les plus emblématiques du Portugal.

Beat The Boss LP by Newcastle and Norway’s finest new trinity of crime fighting artists who between them are a serious blend of graffiti animators, MC’s, singers, producers, video editors and truth embellishing lyricists with some deep ideas to share about humanity who have created a mini masterpiece of sound in an 8 bit excursion which will blow you to bits as it did the Renegades when they sent it to us. Made up of Jody Bigfoot, Louie Zico and Helgeland 8 Bit Squad. Bigfoot and Zico came together having known each other as childhood friends and bonded following Bigfoot’s return from traveling Japan and Australia for the funeral of his best friend. A unique collective including various guests, a sound was created by combining the idiosyncratic voices of a disparate group with one mind. The track titles speak volumes, Beat the Boss - inspired by Jody’s decision to quit full time work under a dragon of a boss to complete the album, Eyes – Named after the third verse’s rhyme structure, the final verse close friend Lee Halpin recorded before his sudden death on the streets of Newcastle whilst trying to highlight the plight of the homeless, and Pierce – a dark and sublimely poetic piece observing the surface deep attitudes and endeavors of we humans, encouraging ourselves to pierce deeper. As fans of Helgeland 8 Bit Squad’s truly unique style, they decided to form the magic trinity to create this LP influenced by the late Space Ape and the Renegade Commander’s own immaturely baked efforts a few years ago. Firmly handing that baton to the the next generation we present to you a blend of 8 bit hip hop and laid back trip hop with a chill-out vibe, this is one for every Reggae Hop lover to kick back to and prepare for any event no matter how stressful, this LP will unwind you and get your head bobbing with the rhythm of sea waves on a calm night. Danny Ranks is a very talented reggae deejay from Vienna/Austria, member of Weedbeat Sound.
In the year 2002 he founded the group Raggamaffia together with Mr. Highhead which became one of the busiest Reggae-Crews in Austria and played in the whole German-speaking area.
He left the group in 2006 to work as a solo artist which brought him oportunities to work with artists like Ganjaman and he had the chance to record in Jamaica in 2008 for the first Ambassajah-Release – “Ambassajah Showcase Vol. 1”.

LA GORDA DUBS...DUB PRODUCTIONS FROM BERLIN...

La Gorda Dubs is a Berlin based musician and producer, that is out to put the rootsy vibe back into modern productions, blending influences of dub, cumbia, bass music and hiphop into his very own style of reggaetronics. During his participance in iLLBiLLY HiTEC he toured the world and played all major festivals in Europe and beyond. He collaborated with artists like Longfingah, Cecile, Brother Culture, Zion Train, Dubmatix, SEEED, Dactah Chando, Rob Smith, La Fanfare En Petard, JStar, Lengualerta, No Te Va Gustar, Karamelo Santo, Promoe (Looptroop) and many more…  Now Alex started to explore the combination of cumbia and reggae elements into the new genre of cumbia dub. These songs will be produced in a collaboration with Japanese and Latin American artists. Why? Cause all of them love those vibes... The release of a first  EP is planed for this summer...some singles you can explore already. But stay tuned...
