With audio announcement-style vocals that come in in a spoken-word fashion, barley distinguishable through the haze and distortion, it’s a classy element that is executed well with its experimentation, before the high-intensity kicks back into overdrive.

'When You Hit It' is the vibrant bass house from two of the scene's most versatile Dutch producers, Vito Mendez, and Don Cartel.

The two show their adaptability stunningly on this record, blending a light-hearted drum pattern with some ear-splitting hardstyle synth work upon the drop, creating a soundscape that is as impressive as it is unique. Although Cartel was born in Colombia, the renowned selector was raised in Amsterdam, which is evident in this record. Cartel forgets his roots and joins forces with Dutch native Mendez to create an undeniably Dutch hardstyle anthem that fits any dancefloor across Amsterdam and the rest of Europe.

Vito Mendez is an upcoming Dutch producer and DJ who isn't even close to reaching the peak of his powers at the tender age of 24. Mendez started DJing in 2011 at just the age of 14 after being exposed to trance music through friends and family at a young age; skip to 2022, and Mendez is slowly but surely making his name in the illustrious yet cut-throat EDM scene. Mendez blends energetic dance music with hints of moombahton and hardstyle, manufacturing a unique and original sound. Through this sound, Mendez has played to huge crowds worldwide and worked with his mentor Sidney Samson and ‘Cannonball’ producer Justin Prime.

Don Cartel, as mentioned, has his roots in Latin America and Bogota, Colombia, to be exact; however, he was raised and still resides in the wonderful Amsterdam, which has undoubtedly affected his musical prowess. Cartel had his big break in 2018 and 2019 when he released 'Lupa' and 'Control Your Body' on Spinnin' Records. Since then, Cartel has consistently released new music, mastered his craft and worked with huge names like DJ Jean, Carnage and The Partysquad.

Along with his musical achievements, Bodalia also has a large social following, with him regularly posting content on his YouTube and TikTok account, racking up millions of views.

Canadian DJ and producer CastNowski is renowned for his house music, with his music being streamed over 1.1 million times in 2022 alone, across 171 countries. His previous tracks have been released on Don Diablo’s established label Hexagon and his tracks has received support from titans in the dance music scene such as Martin Garrix, Afrojack and Tiesto just to name a few. With both CastNowski and Bodalia making waves in the electronic dance scene, their productions are not one to miss.
