Written as part of my course's "Intro to Digital Music" module.

We had to do a "re-imagining" of Clint Mansell's "Lux Aeterna" from the film Requiem for a Dream, more commonly known as "that damn song that's in every "epic" YouTube video". I probably went a bit overboard - it's kind of hard to recognise the source material amongst all the new stuff.

Took some ideas from Vince Dicola, Frank Klepacki, several other game soundtrack composers I can't recall right now, and Phil Collins, for those 80s-tastic tom fills.

From the red wastes of Mars, the cybernetic legions of the Adeptus Mechanicus march forth unrelenting to claim the galaxy's sleeping secrets.

Music written as a "theme" for my Mechanicus army in Warhammer 40,000. Clanking slap bass, industrial percussion, mechancial septuple meter, spooky theremin, and a healthy dose of bit-crushing made this track lots of fun.
