Delgres was born from Pascal Danae’s encounter with drummer Baptiste Brondy and sub-bassophone player Rafgee.

Pascal Danae is an author, composer, guitarist and singer. He was a member of the French-Brazilian band Rivière noire, with which he won the Victoire de la musique in 2015 in the «world music» category.

Then in 2015 Pascal Danae reconnects with the blues the dobro guitar and the Creole language, in homage to his Guadeloupean great grandmother whose letter of emancipation dating from 1841.

He then turned to drummer Baptiste Brondy, member of Lo'jo and occasional collaborator of Matthieu Chedid and Jean-Louis Aubert. Together, they met Rafgee, a trumpeter who graduated from the Paris Conservatory,4 who regularly integrated orchestras hosting Caribbean balls with his soubassophone.
