This Is Taleena Episode 11 Ft. SVLT

La La Land Residents Manesh Magan & Vanessa Testa take the reins for the first installment of the La La Land Mix Series. 

Let's kick it off with some Q's.

What did you have in mind when you curated this mix?

We wanted to create a mix by combining the sounds we both play on Saturday nights at AURORA, La La Land. We both really love to lift the crowd and build the energy with a mixture of pumping tech, with space for a few vocals and the occasional ‘what the hell is this’ type of track! We’re hoping this mix will be the 'let's get pumped' soundtrack for anyone getting ready for another good night out at La La Land! 
 
Favourite La La Land experience or moment?
We've both had a fair few highlights playing at La La Land.. Playing close to a packed out room after acts like KLP, Jordan Burns and UMEK come to mind! The crowd raging through to a sneaky post 3am finish. There’s been so many good warm up and close sets before some of our fave artists, it’s hard to pick!
 
Something you’re looking forward to musically?
We both have a few gigs we’re really looking forward to before the year is out – keep an eye out for upcoming La La Land events!
 
If you were a club drink, what would you be and why?
A shot of tequila for sure! It’s the hype up drink, this is the hype up mix, and we’re the hype up people!

With only a few weeks left of the year, we thought it was only fitting to call in headline regular Jordan Burns to do a mix for our Sampler Series.

Rolling into the New Year with our Pleasurehood NYE party, Jordan has stepped up to give us a taste of what to expect for the last dance of the year.

After starting his music career sharing stages with some the worlds biggest artists (FISHER, Chris Lake, Tchami - just to name a few), Jordan has focussed his energy into sculpting a signature sound that is so easily recognisable in the electronic scene.

With another mega year in the books, 15mil + Spotify streams later, and a whole lot of memories in our club, we are keen to host Jordan again for our NYE Pleasurehood party.
