@oscar-in-stereo-space is a parisien digger who likes to tell stories in his mixes. A real party enthusiast, he organises cosy events at the seaside in Bretagne with his Trinité sur Wax family. The course of his studies brought him to live in Switzerland a few years ago. There, he is a close friend and regular of LEGRAM VG, usually plays in forest raves or local clubs, and is involved in small and intimate events such as Sunday Service.

The train was very busy and each seat in the carriage was taken. Walking along the platform he peered in through the dirty windows to catch a glimpse of the faces preparing to make their journey far, far away. The station echoed with the sound of a neverending tannoy which groaned and groaned with more promise and urgency with each horrible announcement. It was as if they liked to prepare you for the bitter goodbye long before you cast one solitary wave into the distance as the train whirred away. This was the way of the world. 

Lucky Charmz is set to release a new EP on Lehult, a widely supported label which is championing a new wave of talent and musicality. House is the agenda and this one is great.

We are super pleased to welcome back Dan Only with a brand new EP on Dirt Crew. Since last year’s debut record “The Wurly Chronicles” Dan has been super busy in the studio working on his sound, experimenting with many genres outside of House. This EP is the product of many late hours in the studio that translate into his unique touch on a wider spectrum of electronic music.

On The A-side you will find that deep and warm House sound we got to know Dan for when we first crossed paths. “Someday” is an exploration into the feeling of hopefulness and uncertainty that comes with looking towards a future state that is unknown. It’s steered by AHKI's bouncing bassline and the chord progression that it inspired. “All That’s Left (Piano Dub Mix)” has a driving groove with a slow reveal. This one carefully unmasks itself and shows its true colors towards the tail-end, leaving you with “All That’s Left”.

The B-side of this 12” is all about breaks, electro, and jungle inspired tunes. The opener “Emulsion” is a balance between light and dark, soft and hard, speeding up and slowing down. The rhythm section drives this one forward, but the melodic elements are slowly pulling back at it, leaving you somewhere in the middle. It's a musical attempt of trying to mix oil into water and having one float on top of the other. "An emulsion is a mixture of two or more liquids that are normally immiscible."

“What I Want” comes armed with an S950 and an MS20 – this one is a deep dive into the methods of making break- tinged music of the 90s. Brooding bass-lines and atmospheric melodies take you through the dark Canadian winter months when this was created. Closing with “Breathe”, expect waves of euphoria and gated mantras that'll pull you in and out until a state of bliss washes over you. Let the 909 and bubbling 101 carry you to shore. This one pairs well with deep breathing.

“When 2 Bodies Become 1” treads a fine line between raucous deep-house, balearic blues and straight-up sexy music. The opener “Raw Loop” channels classic Pepe Braddock vibes while “Moving Day” sounds like it could’ve come from the sonic experiments of a certain 90s house producer who loves to play keyboards. Lukas is a musician and singer first, which really shows on the flip side of the record – something which Mano Le Tough & Jimpster were very happy to support on a recent release for Clouded House.“Strange Beast” marries off-kilter chorus-kissed guitar riffs with a driving four-to-the floor arrangement while “2 Bodies Become 1” takes a step further away from house music to combine vintage new-order textures and shuffling deep-house. Lukas also builds digital synthesizers in his spare time, something which must’ve come in handy for “Bike Ride With U” an italo-banger closing out the record and sporting a very rubbery bassline. Ladies and Gents, the podcast series are back! After a long hiatus, we could not be happier to welcome a young podcast master despite his young age: Pietro Bernasconi. 
Passionate since the tender age of 5 about music, he started collecting records 8 years ago and soon got invited to play at the YaY parties alongside And.rea, to name just one. Cutting his teeth at those parties with the Yay crew - in Veniceberg for instance - made him dig and dig deeper and then allowed him to showcase his taste and skills through podcasts that gained a cult status among us - we all remember his excellent LowMoneyMusicLove podcast that got released a few moons ago and got us into Pietro's vibes. Thus it felt very natural to ask him to do one for us; he kindly accepted and took the right time to organise the delightful chapters of his story, oscillating between groovy tunes, spacey, funky breaks, and floorfillers.
 Press play, Pietro's infectious flow will make you move, headnodding from A to Z, and raising your arms in the air even if at home.
These days, Pietro is launching his own label with his Terraforma mates: Nottetempo. The aim of the label is to publish music from friends and new names, without focussing too much on the dancefloor vibes, and willing to share all kinds of electronic music.
