Lama Tharchin Rinpoche teaches on the feminine principle in Vajrayana Buddhism with a focus on the Dakini, or Khandro. Rinpoche tells stories of extraordinary human Khandros, such as Yeshe Tsogyal, Dresi Khandro, who came from his father’s region in Amdo, Tromge Dawa Drolma (Chagdud Rinpoche's Ma-Yum), Sera Khandro, Shuksep Jetsun Rinpoche of Gangri Tokar, Machik Labdron, and others. Rinpoche also tells stories about practitioners who receive the blessings of Khandros such as Vajrayogini, and how meditating upon the Dakini brings swift blessings and the rapid attainment of siddhis.

Lama Tharchin Rinpoche teaches on the meaning of the Seven Branch Offering Prayer (by Kyabje Chatral Rinpoche from the Khandro Tuk-Tik Ngondro).

Why do we make the seven branch offerings? As sentient beings, our buddha nature has been temporarily obscured by the two defilements (gross and subtle levels). How, then, can we manifest our buddha nature? We do this by removing the two obscurations by practicing the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. In this way, we become perfect buddhas. It is for this purpose that we recite the Seven Branch Offering Prayer.

The seven branches: 1) prostration; 2) offering; 3) confession; 4) rejoicing; 5) requesting the dharma teachings; 6) requesting enlightened beings to remain; 7) dedication of merit

Troma Nagmo Concise Chod

his short text marks the fifth episode in 84000's Sūtras for Well-Being series, a look at the sūtras traditionally recited for resilience and well-being in times of adversity, and the stories behind them. The Aspiration Prayer from “Destroyer of the Great Trichiliocosm" contains a set of verses spoken by the Buddha as he put an end to the epidemic of Vaiśālī, extracted from one of the two main accounts of that episode. The verses call for well-being, especially by invoking the qualities of the Three Jewels and a range of realized beings and eminent gods. The text comprises two passages from the parent work, and of these the first and longest corresponds closely to a well-known Pali text, the Ratana-sutta, widely recited for protection and blessings.
