I’m a fan! Very intricate song construction - creating space for it to breathe while introducing lots of different sounds throughout - a difficult task! Beautifully done here

The Chariot

Every old instrument carries with it the memory of its best performance. The broken cello in the back of the junk store was no exception.

Disquiet Junto 0659 had us squinting at a close-up photograph of the back of a cello, and instructed us to interpret the grain and pockmarks as a musical score.

This composition is an interpretation of Nick Drake's "Cello Song", reimagined as a symphonic piece. I spent an inordinate amount of time with a physical modeling synthesizer to try to create the sound of the broken cello. I hope it's convincing.

To hear the music like the junkstore cello remembers it, it's best to use a trusted set of headphones.
