Bonnie & Klein is two cool guys, who are born and raised in Greece with the civil names George Fountzoulas and Thanasis Skouzis. When the two balearica devotees where young, they figured out that sound can affect ones personality and that is how they decided to stick their musically beloved heads together and create soul moving music. 
The sound of Bonnie & Klein is inspired by the sea, forest and sunset, which is clearly recognizable when listening to their music. On April 19th, DJs for Climate Action (DJS4CA) present the second annual EARTH NIGHT; an initiative harnessing the energy of the global nightlife scene to raise awareness and funds for climate action.  Taking place in the week leading up to Earth Day, the team will release an impressive music compilation and sponsor parties in Brooklyn and beyond to shine light on the challenge facing our planet and the unique role musicians can play.  

This year DJS4CA launch EARTH NIGHT RECORDS with a compilation that gathers new music from over 50 artists from 12 countries including Simon Meija (Bomba Estereo), Infinity Ink, Nicola Cruz, Little Boots, and many others. It will become available for pre-order exclusively through Bandcamp starting March 11th, and tracks will drop every week leading up to the full release on 4/19.

Proceeds from all EARTH NIGHT activities will fund projects focused on effective climate action through direct partnerships. This includes work at the nexus of renewable energy, health and education with Little Sun, boosting the global climate youth movement with Earth Guardians, and offsetting the impact of DJ air travel with CO2 Logic.

Zoe Reijue is a musician and DJ from Moscow, Russia. Formerly a composer
with an acoustic piano direction, she produces electronic music since
2020. On this track, she also sang her own vocals and we were absolutely
in love with it when she send it to us.

We thought that it's a great track to build an EP around, which takes
the track in different directions. This remix comes from Jiony from
Mexico, he will be joined by Thommie G from the Netherlands, Daniel
Verhagen from Australia, and Klangdruide from Switzerland. All
interpreting Zoe's track in their own way.

As always 50% of the profit from this release is donated to our social
partner @love-foundation and the other 50% are divided equally between
Hug Records and the artists.

Most of the tracks on Spellbound EP were produced in my old basement studio in Brooklyn during the winter lockdown. I remember thinking a lot about freedom of choice, why I like music, and whether we live in a computer simulation or not (I know, I had a lot of time on my hands). 
Now, while these thoughts didn’t yield any answers, they sure seeped into this EP. 
The track Cinderella really is about perseverance against the odds. The prince turns his kingdom upside down, goes from door to door, looking for his love, trying to not break that glass slipper. That night with old Cindy must feel like a long gone dream, a fairy tale, unreal, yet he won’t let go…or can’t…or chooses not to. He keeps holding onto something that ain’t real. A possibly endless enchantment without knowing whether the spell is good or bad. That prince would make a fine artist! 
On Repeat deals with the kind of spell that leaves you powerless, but in a good way. A magic you surrender to, a trustworthy sorcery, and also a sexy bass line, if I may say so. 
Spellbound, the title track, is actually a shower song - I sing under the shower, everyday, I cannot control it. It’s like there are little tunes hidden within the white noise of the running water, and usually they go down the drain with it, never to leave the bathroom - not Spellbound though. That main melody was stuck in my head for days, couldn't wash it off. Very strong spell, beware!
