This is my favourite song  ever; like ‘play at my funeral’ kinda deal. I hoped i would find ‘the one’ but then i had my daughter and it took on a new meaning. She wont listen to it as she thinks it says i’ll ‘die from love’. 🫤

The tabla gives it a special feeling in the background, it increases so emotionally. An older piece, which impresses me very much.

Looper release a new 5CD box set, titled 'These Things', Spring 2015.
Covering Looper's entire career from 1997 up to present day, with tracks from the debut 'Up A Tree' through to the new album 'Offgrid:Offline'.

Looper emerged from Belle & Sebastian in 1997, when Stuart David (co-founder and bass player of B&S) and his wife Karn (an artist who directed the early B&S videos) collaborated for a show at Glasgow School of Art. A degree show fundraiser for Stuart's sister Karla Black - who received a Turner Prize nomination in 2011- the performance was a multi-media affair incorporating TVs, super 8 film, 35mm slides and kinetic sculptures. Since nothing broke down and everyone clapped, they decided to keep doing it.

Looper have recorded four albums to date, 'Up A Tree'. 'The Geometrid', 'The Snare' and 'Offgrid:Offline' as well as numerous singles and EPs.

His style can be summarised as an amalgamation of both genres, with the inclusion of vocal hits, sharp stabs and bouncy drums combining to create the core rhythm of his tracks.

Munich-based duo Glaskin, brothers Jonathan and Ferdinand Bockelmann, have become pivotal voices in modern techno, known for their residency at the legendary Blitz Club and standout releases on labels like Mutual Rytm and Figure. Their live sets channel dynamic, forward-thinking energy, and now they bring that momentum to FJAAK's ever-expanding CROWD family.

With the Blue Light EP, Glaskin deliver four impeccably groovy tracks that balance stripped-down flair and shimmering texture. "Blue Light" opens the EP with mellow synth tones, a lean, hypnotic beat and a vocal loop murmuring 'here we go' that signals the underground journey ahead. Next up is "Captcha", releasing as the single, where a spoken female voice is layered atop rhythmic percussion, marrying atmosphere with groove-driven momentum. On the B-side, "Tape", digs deep into rolling uncompromising techno territory, strict in structure yet irresistibly danceable. The EP rounds out with "Prophat Tool Board", stepping slightly into house-leaning warmth, its broader rhythm and melodic warmth offering a fitting counterpoint to the brooding energy before it.

The Blue Light EP is Glaskin's debut on CROWD and a shrewd expansion of the label's sound palette: richly textured techno made for both peak-time impact and immersive listening. To celebrate the release on the label, Glaskin will join label-founders FJAAK for a CROWD night at Nitsa Club in Barcelona on October 10, an event primed to showcase the raw energy and precision behind their studio work.
