Ladislav Zensor (Exhausted Modern, Oblaka) is a Czech musician and sound designer. His interest in music dates back to the early 2000s when he fell under the spell of illegal rave parties during their golden age in the Czech Republic. After a number of years experimenting with DJing, music production, and street art, his primary focus shifted to music in 2007. In 2011, he spearheaded the Endless Illusion record label, releasing music from underground artists based in the Czech Republic and beyond, putting on regular events, and gaining international recognition. After a decade in existence, he brought the label to a timely close in 2021 and joined forces with the new LTE records project. Ladislav is a prolific producer, releasing music on the likes of Brokntoys and Veyl, has presented his live set at Lunchmeat festival and in countries across Europe, and is a resident of Ankali, Prague’s reigning night club for electronic music. Also known as Layup, Exhausted Modern, and Oblaka, Ladislav has used different monikers to explore and transform his style of production throughout his music career. He’s now trying his hand at commercial and theatrical work, and is collaborating with the contemporary dance group 420PEOPLE.

"Vulgar" [Album]

A remarkable release for VūMantra Records, “Vū - Vulgar” marks the number 50th on the catalog of the label.
Those 7 tracks, composed in 2021 by Vū, were meant to be played in a forest during a summer ritual gathering.
The tracks were made quickly and rawly, collecting old samples from previous trips in Morocco and the Mediterranean coasts, and recordings of Lo-fi percussions, voices and instruments played by Vū himself in studio.
With this material Vū was deliberately searching for a Lo-Fi sound and leave the mix and composition simple, to let the atmospheres and moods created by those samples to speak for themselves.
Among the recordings Vū utilised also some from the singer of “Dead Space Chamber Music” Ellen Southern, which were recorded in few abandoned and hunted places in England, plus few sounds from street musicians in Morocco. The title of the album is taken for its sound not for its meaning, and recalls the first album of the other music project of Vince Gagliardi , The Nent - “Vulner” , underlining a vague distorted reflection of the 2 artworks, like in a old broken mirror.

Vince Gagliardi (a.k.a. Vū) is a 3D artist and music producer of futuristic shamanic electronic music from Berlin. He is also the founder of the label “Vumantra Records”, artistic director of the collective “Modern Bön” and creator of the audiovisual project “The Nent” (Cyclic Law), well-known for its impactful A∖V live performances.

His performances focus on an immersive experience creating endarkening rhythms and low frequencies. Drum machines clash against the voice and percussion that he plays live in order to keep the focus on the moment, as well as for the shamanic vibes of the crowd. Some of Vū’s tracks have already been released also on the Pact Infernal’s label "Altar", Borders of Known (GE), Dark Alchemy (UK), Voidance (DE), Elektro Tribe (DE) Furanum Records (DE) Area Z (FR), and more.

He is currently collaborating with plenty of artists from the dub/techno/ritual/industrial scene, to dig into the meditative states of the lower frequencies and feed the catalog of his label VūMantra records.

New material from Lamia Vox. Titled “Alles ist Ufer. Ewig ruft das Meer” (Everything is shore. The sea calls forever) after the Gesänge poem by Gottfried Benn, the album is’nt presented not merely as a musical piece but bears a deep spiritual message and a counterblast to the rational, materialistic and post-theist nihilism of current age. Inspired by early modern poetry, Hermeticism, fin-de-siècle symbolism and naturphilosophie, this new opus celebrates another vision of the world, one of higher dimensions and beyond the human sphere, a world of intoxicated and ecstatic alchemy of poetic language and ideas. An upward movement and a breakthrough from the bonds of materia to the source of life and eternity. Dionysian liberating lawlessness to oppose sterile rationalism and creativity, divine madness, metanoia as a form of ultimate salvation. Poetry flows, it is a sacred art and process and the laboratory of the Magnum Opus, a divine gift of deliberate madness.
