Lyrical wrote from my thoughts about the run up to the last general election. Thinking the last clowns made a complete hash of it and the next clowns will do exactly the same.
So who the bloody hell do I vote for. If I don’t vote then I can’t complain if I do vote I fear it will be the wrong choice. Someone told me if I write on the ballot paper none of the above then that still registers as a vote, so at least I tried. 
The idiom "pressure makes diamonds" suggests that adversity and challenges can lead to remarkable outcomes. It implies that difficult situations or intense pressure can bring out a person's best qualities, potential, and resilience, ultimately resulting in something valuable or brilliant, just as diamonds are formed under immense pressure. 
But these idiots under pressure only make dust !

Pressure Makes Diamonds ~Conscience Of Kings

Well hello. Here’s some rustic Mountain Blues, played on extremely oxidized guitar strings, with me hollering from the mountain top. Hahahaha. The song hints at a personal authenticity, and the experience of possibly unraveling any prior conditioning (Pavlovian or otherwise) that may constrict our lives in some way. It’s also about the different personas we portray to the outside world. How we may act at work, or on a first date, or with our spouse, or kids, friends, enemies, those who hurt us, even our stage personas comes into play…. So this song is asking a lot of us. In other news, right now in June, the mountains are snow covered and it froze last night. That is late spring, early summer here. Gardenwise, this year, I am planting a lot more Brassicas: Kale, Cabbage and Broccoli, and they are growing well. I am going to try to fence off the carrot/beet beds, as the voles always eat more carrots and beets than I ever do. Onions, leeks and garlic have been growing since March. I transplanted 50 lettuce plants I grew from seed that I saved from last year’s lettuce. The berry bushes and fruit trees have really blossomed this year. There are squash, cukes, tomato and pepper plants inside by the window, to be transplanted outside next week, quite a mess… all of which keeps me busy…. Hahaha. My sister and I cared for mum in her own home for the last ten years, going every day. Mum had been diagnosed with vascular dementia. This song is more about what I could see coming, the bad days, as at this time mum was still more lucid than not. Daphne Gennery passed away peacefully on the 30th of August 2025 at the age of 95, in her own home, in her own bed.....something that she always wanted....no hospital or care home.

My anti-AI rant song ... I wrote this shortly after a friend of mine proudly told me how she'd created a song using AI which she had fed a sample of her voice. This gal doesn't sing. She sent me the YouTube link to the song and obviously wanted my feedback.

This song began with Josh coming up with it on his electric piano and fretless bass, to which he added some banjo, then mandolin. Once he had a solid basis for the song, he shared it with the rest of Eclectic Collective for them to add their parts. 
  Ken was first up, adding his drums in an such a creative way that matched Josh's bassline perfectly. It was originally recorded to a looper disco beat, but that was blown out of the water by Ken's creative drumming. Tez jumped in next, adding his thrilling guitar to the second half of the song. Not to be outdone, Stephen batted clean up, adding his textural and melodic guitar to the first half. He also added some subtle, but brilliant acoustic guitar to the first half, too. 
  This is a great example of Eclectic Collective coming up with an original band sound out of one of Josh's seeds. We're always pushing boundaries and trying to find fun and exciting ways to build a song. Lots of teamwork in here, too, of course. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.
