Our featured artist this week is Cape Town based and multi-talented producer/DJ, Pierre Johnson.

Transitioning from DJ to producer is an important journey for many artists—one that can take years to actualise. But with hard work and dedication to the craft, some begin to blaze their own trail within the music industry.

One such DJ is 21-year-old Pierre Johnson. Having started DJing at the age of 13 and reaching club level at 15, Pierre’s understanding of what moves people started very early in his life.

With support from Leighton Moody and Vinny Da Vinci, "Cure", his latest EP, is quickly becoming a hot-favourite amongst DJs in South Africa, and will no doubt start infiltrating the playlists of deep house fanatics in the months to come.
