Gavnlig's attention to detail and fine tuned ears has brought an immaculate soundscape that takes you for an 18 minute sonic and emotional journey through his 'Living in Fear' Ep. Beginning in the realm of doubt with 'Unappeasable' he tentatively starts the album with her cheeky cords and syncopated kick rhythms keeping us gripped and awaiting more. We are then brought into the depths of her despair with 'Low Point', dark and brooding with challenging throbs of bass. Next the title track 'Living in Fear' created with thoughts of acceptance lightens up with playful chord lines and sharp snare hits. Followed by 'From the Ashes' arguably the pinnacle of creativeness within the Ep, brought on by the feelings of over-coming we are reborn 'from the ashes' with Gudjon's off-kelter rhythms and break chops, shedding a whole new light on Uk Bass music to top off the Ep.
