Sparkless - Nightriding 2015

The most difficult year for me, my family and the whole country - this is the final result. And it goes on. A year of erased opportunities, lives, cities and desires. Sometimes I caught myself thinking that I just want to dissolve and become just dust in space so that I don't feel this pain that you wake up with every day. This is probably why I play music, to give comfort and to leave the physical body for at least an hour and travel into the endless expanses of space. Therefore, the final episode of soulful disco is a cosmic direction to erase the boundaries between reality and fantasy.

To everyone who supported, listened, offered funds, online work, in short, dear helps especially the international community - thank you! I will never forget it.

NTEIBINT is the alter ego of Greek producer George Bakalakos, signed to Eskimo Recordings.

The gifted producer is known for lush and sonic soundscapes, masterfully produced and taking the listener to new dimensions. NTEIBINT has been at the forefront of the Greek electronic music scene for a number of years and is the host of a daily radio show on the Athenian radio station En Lefko 87.7.

His latest release ‘By Your Side’ is a deliciously mellow and disco tinged track, which features the former Twin Shadow bassist Rush Midnight. Brooklyn born Rush Midnight has been writing and producing for a number of years, and has performed alongside artists like Cashmere Cat, Miami Horror and Blood Orange. NTEIBINT closes the release with 'A Baby For My Bass' reinforcing his reputation for creating timeless and indelible music, supported by the likes of Busy P, Horse Meat Disco, Kraak & Smaak and more

Sounds especially curated for your weekend! This week we have an exclusive mix for you from Budapest based duo Gelka. The DJs behind Gelka have been delivering floating musical journeys since their debut ‘Less is More’ released on the Nightmares on Wax label, Wax On, in 2008. Their mashups and re-edits are amongst the top listened mixtapes on Mixcloud. Bass music, ambient, future-downtempo, chilltronica, alt-r&b, deep house and other fresh genres melt together in their work to form one organic, complete piece, reinventing the old school mixing techniques – the result of an analogue kind of producer gets a new midi toy for DJ mixes.  Csaba Kürti, one half of Gelka plays live DJ sets with a unique method using an APC 40, dividing a range of music into samples and creating a whole new sound. Their debut paved the way for the flurry of Wax On remixes and collabs, over 150 compilation releases on labels such as Warp, Ministry of Sound, Sony and Om Records, and a key role on the legendary Café Del Mar label.  After injecting new influences of pop and bass oriented flavours into their songs, creating an elegant but aerial new route to their sound with a nod to classic song structures, their album Stardust Memories was born and released at the end of last year. Hey LAMP fam. New mix for you coming from someone we have been keeping tabs on and a name you should keep on your radar if you are not familiar, Roy  LaCroix. I first met Roy on the floors of NAMM a few years ago and we have stayed in touch ever since. He is an ambassador for the music scene and has been making strides since his breakthrough performances in college finishing as the runner up for Red Bull' Threestyle a nationally run competition to showcase the best DJ's throwing down at University across the country. Since then he has had opportunities to share the stage with some of the biggest DJ's on the planet including Steve Aoki, Dada Life, Duke Dumont and Diplo to name a few. Never taking himself too seriously but being serious about what he does his style encompasses many different facets of electronic music and shows through in this latest mix giving us a little bit of everything from house to bass house, tech house and some old classics that will for sure get you moving.

Raised in St. Louis, Missouri, LaCroix is now based in LA. You may remember we featured a remix of his that he did for Stefan Seay in February of last year. He also has a dope release out on Treasure Fingers label Psycho Disco. Make sure you check those out as well on his soundcloud and be sure to give him a follow to stay up to date on what he is up to. A little fun fact about Roy LAcroix is his love for golf. He was able to put it on display this spring when he was featured as a contestant on the ABC show Holey Moley. Where contestants compete on a ridiculous but incredibly fun miniature golf course that would test even the most accomplished amateur and professional golfers. Think of it as a mix of part mini golf/ part obstacle course. His episode is Season 2 Episode 3. You can catch all of the episodes including his on Hulu.
