Hi LAMP Fam! As always I hope this finds you Happy and Healthy. It is time for another premiere. Today we have a big tune for you. I have been especially excited to share this one so let's jump right into it. Coming to you from the relatively new label EI8HT, set up by Eats Everything & Andres Campo is the latest EP from Austrian producer Dubesque. Let me start off by saying I am just discovering this artist and have become enamored with just about everything this incredible producer has been making. The last couple of years have seen an uptick in his output, during which time he has put out a record with the legendary Turbo Recordings along with others coming from Sola Records, Kneaded Pains (another favorite of mine), along with Nervous Records and several others. This latest endeavor of his coming out the 23rd of October on EI8HT titled Jeztz is a four track EP that is solid from top to bottom.

I am beyond excited to share the third track on this EP titled Jackago. So many great things to talk about with this track. I'm a big fan of most things that involve House and Jack. If you are familiar with jackin' house then the "Jack the House" vocal should feel familiar to you. This is the kind of house and techno Chicago and Detroit were built on, and Im sure the title Jackago is a play on that. Right away we are treated to a massive kick that paves the way for the rest of the percussive elements that create groove that is sure to get you moving. My favorite part of the track has got to be the chopped up synth stabs. I am always in the mood for a good set of stabs and Jackago really gets going once Dubesque introduces them to the track. All in all this is one of my favorite tracks I have heard all year. It ticks all the boxes and gets me excited everytime I listen to it. Honestly this whole EP is massive. I cant wait for things to settle down so I can hear this on a proper club soundsystem and watch people lose their shit to this as I am sure they will. Gonna be keeping a very close eye on Duesque going forward and I strongly suggest you dive into his library either on Beatport or Spotify and Soundcloud. Mathias Kaden returns to Rekids with four-track EP ‘Control Your Mind’, featuring a remix from Marcel Dettmann.

Previously appearing on Rekids in 2019 with his ‘Liberate Drums’ EP, Mathias Kaden makes his second appearance on Radio Slave aka Matt Edwards’ label with four original tracks of razor sharp material, as well as a remix from Berghain resident Dettmann.

‘Control Your Mind’ opens with the impeccably produced title track, an electro flecked roller. Featuring hypnotic synth work and subtle automated inflections, the cut effortlessly glides, peppered with the occasional titular vocal refrain from Sven Väth puncturing the groove. Shifting into 4/4 territory is ‘Conviction’, a restrained but stunningly effective track that makes full use of memorable off-beat synth stabs and shimmering 909 percussion to constantly drive the track forward.

On the flip, Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann turns up the heat with his remix of ‘Control Your Mind’. Filtering the vocals, the MDR and BAD MANNERS boss also delivers a resonant bassline that works in tandem with knocking percussion, as creeping pads morph and evolve over the duration of the track, creating a trippy and propulsive banger.

Classic dub techno aesthetics are front and centre in ‘Substance’, a track destined for the golden hours between late at night and early in the morning, while finishing the package in fine style, the digital only ‘Anticipation’ showcases Kaden’s skill in crafting a killer peak time track, adding a welcome bonus of yet another weapon for USBs worldwide.

We welcome North Carolina native Buridan to Tronic for a single. 'Phase Two' is a Rob Hood inspired track that has a hypnotic groove and good dosage of power while maintaining a good sense of feeling and cohesiveness. 'Smile And Say Hello' is a string-heavy emotional song that has a good warehouse feel for early morning hours. 'The Only Way Out' is a straight forward voodoo groover. Spooky, hypnotic, and driving! To finish off this EP Buridan continues with 'Alianza' another original groover, using lots of wildlife samples. We fully support Buridan and his original style and hope you will enjoy this EP as much as we do.
